STATE COLLEGE -- More than a thousand Penn State students are moving between the campus and downtown, chanting in support of football coach Joe Paterno, whose job has been questioned over his handling of sex-abuse allegations involving a former coach.

Crowds began to gather around 10 p.m. on Beaver Avenue. After police in riot gear told them to move along, the students moved to Old Main. They sang the alma mater, professed their love for Paterno and profanely denounced Sandusky. They pointed toward Penn State president Graham Spanier's still-lit office. Then, after a brief "back to Beaver" chant, the crowd returned to Beaver Avenue.

“Darn right. I mean what is the purpose of a university anyway? To play football games of course.
Sickening.”

Penn State Students have the LARGEST fundraiser every year. They are good kids. Their emotional reaction to Paterno’s firing is just that, an emotional reaction. It’s not a statement supporting child molesters.

You said, That would be disappeared five years after deciding not to press charges and while in the middle of a couple of major drug investigations.

= = =
Thanks for that clarification.

Agreed. When he didn’t pursue it, he failed. Disgraceful.

Ray Gricar’s older brother, Roy, disappeared from his West Chester, Ohio home in May 1996. His body was found a week later in the Great Miami River; authorities ruled his death a suicide.

At 11:30 a.m. (EDT) on April 15, 2005, Gricar called Patty Fornicola, his live-in girlfriend, to inform her that he was driving through the Brush Valley area northeast of Centre Hall. Fornicola reported Gricar missing 12 hours later when he failed to return home.

After being missing for over six years with no trace of his whereabouts, Centre County authorities declared Gricar legally dead on July 25, 2011.

What should be done to the alleged Child Molester Sandusky?

And why are we not seeing more of his face and learning more about him and his 2nd Mile youth organization where he allegedly sourced and eventually violated 10 year old victims?

If Sandusky was after little girls, he’s have been arrested 12 years ago. Homoerotic crimes are covered up, esp. on HS and college campuses.

That’s what I’m thinking. Forfeiture is a real possibility. Bob

Still, they only love Joe because he was a consistent football winner. Football is everything to tens of millions of misguided Americans.

Those students turned over a media van. Great examples they surely are.

I don’t give a damn he won over 400 games. Nothing he does makes up for failing to report this to police and allowing Sandusky to continue to associate with the program.

I think it was more than just winning football games.....he was also considered to run a clean program, and he had the appearance of being different than all of those other “corrupt” programs.....looks like it turned out to all be an illusion.

ESPN reporting live from State College that rioting has begun...

Media van turned over, light poles pulled down.

These are America’s future leaders, folks. Aren’t we so proud of them?

They need to go ahead and shut the football program down now.

Don’t defend him.

I'm not defending him. I'm pointing out that others have a part in this. I suspect that somewhere in this there is a homophilic element in the power structure that is going undiscussed. I don't think that Joe is the main player in that aspect. Homosexuals have gained a tremendous foothold in the major organizations in society. They make rooting out abusers difficult. This is the unspoken problem in such organizations and by the press. Joe is a convenient scapegoat. He didn't to the pederasty. I doubt he led the cover-up. It's just appealing to knock him off his pedestal and the homos behind the scenes know how to spin the news. Regardless of his reputation and status, he is the coach. He would work for the director of the Athletic Department who works for the President who works for the trustees. I would look for the homo who squashed the story in that bunch.

Round 9. If you don't want to read my posts be my guest. You are a dope if insulting me is all you got.

Poor kids. This is all they have been permitted to believe in and feel unity and pride about. Their football team and college town.

It’s terrible.

Yep. When kids are being molested, all bets are off.

Anywhere, everywhere. Churches, schools, colleges, scouts, philanthropic organizations, families, etc.

PSU football is of little importance in comparison to protecting children from a pervert.

This should have blown sky high many years ago.

“You do know a previous DA looking into this completely disappeared?”

Glad you brought this up. If I were the family of the DA whose body was never found, I would demand that the now FBI come in and see who was responsible for his death while investigating this sordid situation.

This needs to cool off...and highy charged emotional kids,no matter how smart, will only do something stupid. Parents, get there now and get your chidren away from this.

and the hormones are kicking along with that doesn't help. Nor all these OWS protests which have given students a reason to contest just about anything...and many love to come together for any reason at all...it's their nature when away from their homelife.
