I have a “Jobs plan”, but it includes LIMITED government and morals and values. I assume that all these Harvard graduates are WAY too smart to adopt such a simple plan.

Finally! Some policy substance.

I hope the Governor can explain this and sell it. He needs some public attention for workable policies. No more sidebar issues.

Is this for Mexico or US? I forgot which country he prefers.

Let’s get serious: If you want jobs for Americans (as opposed to, say, illegal parasites) here are few simple suggestions to Jose Perry:
- mandate e-verify
- build the border fence (lets start with 150 miles initially in key areas - these are shovel ready jobs)
- send the illegals home and stop the taxpayer incentives to illegals

Uh, the places off-limits to drilling are largely defined by Congress and the states themselves. This ain’t Texas, and oil ain’t Gardasil.

He would make a great president, I’m convinced of that.

But it doesn’t look like he can surmount the 3 big obstacles:

1. The sudden cottage industry of “conservative” lies about Perry’s actual positions.

2. Perry’s nearly total inability to speak for himself, defend himself, and articulate his positions.

3. The absolute disarray among “conservatives” who have no real concept of what is necessary to stop Romney. (They actually believe that Cain can do it.)

Bottom line: I do not believe Perry has a chance. I think he’s pretty much out of it. And maybe, because of #2, that’s the way it should be. How is Perry going to debate Obama? How’s he going to do that?

Thanks. I’ll have time to read it before Rush.

Rush should have some comments and perhaps excerpts.

And right here in Pennsylvania, and across the state line in West Virginia and Ohio, we will tap the full potential of the Marcellus Shale and create another 250, 000 jobs by getting the EPA out of the way. While Marcellus shale is today’s opportunity, the deeper Utica shale formations offer equally vast potential with more jobs over the horizon for Pennsylvania and its neighbors.

Someone should let the Governor know that we are doing this already. What exactly is his point here? Is he piggybacking on things that are already being done to pad his proposal?

Tap our domestic energy resources, curtail the EPA, create jobs.

Perry just displayed his ignorance. The EPA works at the whim of a cabal between agency personnel and green NGOS. The latter subsist off the donations of tax-exempt "charitable" corporate foundations (you know, the guys who give Perry money). They operate under the "authority" of the Federal courts, which ORDER the agencies the implement the NGO plan.

Hence, Perry will be able to do very little without defying said court orders, which is of course not mentioned in his plan.

The government doesn’t create jobs. However, the government can put a halt to all the blank checks they’re handing out like candy to our friends and enemies alike. Stop the outgo, the internal will fix itself.

....There is, of course, an important role for Congress to play. And in a matter of days I will offer to the American people a broader package of economic reforms that I will take to Congress when I am elected President. My complete economic growth package will tackle tax reform, entitlement reform and real spending reductions in order to address our growing debt crisis.

But today I offer a plan that will create more than a million good, American jobs across every sector of the economy and enhance our national security, and the best news is it can be set in motion in my first 100 days.

My plan is based on this simple premise: Make what Americans buy, buy what Americans make, and sell it to the world.....

Absolutely outstanding address by Perry. He is right on the money.

He needs to memorize this stuff and pound the opposition with details.

He is also absolutely correct about the near immediate jobs that would result from a change in energy policy.

Government doesn’t create jobs outside of the service sector, which the government is, a service industry. That concept is lost on most people, usually those who profit by using and abusing the government for fun and profit. There’s a reason why the term “civil servant” exists. They serve at our (meaning We The People, who pay the bills) leisure. If you don’t deliver, we kick your ass to the curb.
