Cheers!
I thought Santorum did the best job tonight.
I found that last night, thank you for pointing it out to me.
Is that what it means to go to college for everyone?
Are you able to say which portion of that post is “BS” and give reasons or sources? I doubt it.
I should have said I can’t see myself “supporting” Perry. (Money or volunteerism). If he gets the nomination, I will vote for him. So my post stands corrected. Thanks!
Boy did Romney miss a great chance to utterly destory Perry. I’m not a big Romney fan but when Perry when on about “first you were for this and now you are against it” stuff Romney should have shot back with “First you were Al Gore’s campaign manager, now your here posting as a Conservative”.
That would have been a huge hit back, I cannot believe he missed that one, as Perry was saying those things I was thinking “Oh my goodness, this is so big you could drive a truck through it” but Romney didn’t pick up on the hipocrasy, what a missed opportunity.
I’ve written before about the Mosaic law that declared a person responsible if he digs a hole and someone or some animal falls into it.
Although the Feds dug this particular hole by Plyver vs. Tyler in the courts and refusal to deport by ICE and the Department of Justice, we Texans live with the consequences.
These kids are not noticed through graduation from high school, the Feds force us to educate them, give them free breakfast and lunch, provide medical care in some cases, and then, suddenly, they become illegal.
It’s better to not let them in in the first place. That’s why the Governor has focused so hard on border control.
Your #1900!
Great perception and good comments! I agree with all you stated. ...Bachmann hasn’t a clue on how to deal with multiple opponents. She’s picked Perry to disparage because his entry took away any chance she had. She doesn’t care about the Pubs winning; it’s all about getting vengence on someone who lowered her status. ...JMO
Next thing you know he will be doing photo ops at a bridge somewhere.
Sure, so my grandkids can enjoy New America. Socialism now or Socialism later is no choice at all.
You have no ideal how much federal money, collected from citizens is pumped into each states education system each year do you.?
Bachmann Super-PAC Runs False Ad Attacking Rick Perrys Wife
A source in the Perry camp tells me that the ads central allegation that Perrys wife, Anita, worked for Merck is false. To see just how dishonest this line of attack is, just check out the link that the super-PAC helpfully provides. Several years and an entirely different field (osteoporosis) separate Mrs. Perrys consulting work from the Gardasil controversy, and Rick Perry wasnt even governor yet. This is on the level of Dick Cheney went to war in Iraq for Halliburton!!!!11!1!1! and should be treated with about as much respect. And if this is the standard that Bachmann wants to set, then it becomes reasonable to ask about the donations she has accepted from Mercks direct Gardasil competitors.
I hope your right. Being 24 myself, I generally am around “the younger generation”. It’s sad, but most just look for instant satisfaction with no deep thinking involved.
What I see in this group of people is a desire to do something “important” (and from what you said, you agree). Problem is, is that the dems have brainwashed them to making them think that doing something important is “saving the enviroment” or “taking down the greedy rich”.
This is why the riots in Britain and Europe mostly consist of younger people.
You tell them something that plays to their heart and they don’t bat an eye going to the plate for you. It’s sad, but logic is lost.
Against better judgement, I watched the MSNBC post speech analysis of Obama’s job speech. They were saying how great it was, and how everything Obama said was great things. (Paraphrase) “He wants to build X number of schools... who can argue with that?!”. And people fall for it. They don’t think past the initial statement. It plays to their heart and they are sold.
Will they change? I hope. I’m not seeing it yet. People don’t think and that is what will kill our nation. Not Obama or his policies. It’s the people that put him in as President and don’t see Him for what he is. That is what is and will kill America.
This will force in-state tuition up to the levels of out of state tuition.
The real question here is getting the economy going again, and creating TENS OF MILLIONS OF JOBS!
I failed to notice that I suppose ~ hmm.
So Perry is against illegal aliens being in Texas or something.
BTW, to be an immigrant you gots' ta' get yoursef' an immigration visa. Otherwise you are just a visitor.
You must have noticed I've proposed setting up a buffer state between the US and Mexico ~ made up of the Northern Tier of border states in Mexico ~ and we'd deport all the illegals to that new country. They wouldn't have to go so far ~ maybe a 2 day bus ride from Maine or Washington state, but not something that'd be real difficult.
The FENCE could then be built in the new state South of Texas and the river would be kept pure and pristine untrammeled with that big ol' fence.
The in state tuition thing would just disappear.
So, lets find the parents and return them to Mexico - the key here is they are here illegally.
However, only the Federal government is authorized to deport illegals, not the States’ governments, and the Feds have chosen to ignor their duties of protecting the US borders and deporting illegals. The States are thus having to shoulder the burden and cost of educating and providing health care, etc., for the illegals that the Feds ignore.
-——a desire to do something important ——
That is a twist of my thought that they are driven “to make a difference”
I apply the thought to young women and am curious to learn if you think it applies to the young men as well.
I believe it is easy to make a difference, buy a bumper sticker or join friends of the earth. Carrying a FOE tote bag shows the world your advocacy and requires no real expenditure of money or effort. The thought is all that is necessary to develop self esteem for making a difference
