Holder calls for closure of Gitmo before 2012 election
vanity

Posted on 09/21/2011 11:03:27 AM PDT by airedale

Isn't Holders statement that we'll close Gitmo before the 2012 a blatant political statement which should be an anathema when dealing with both the affairs of the Justice Department and National Security? Can you imagine the response if Bush's Attorney General made such a blatant political move to help his President with his base? The media pitchforks would be out over how inappropriate and wrong that was.

Second is closing Gitmo essentially a new version of Fast and Furious. Letting dangerous "weapons" lose on world to advance political goals (in the case of Fast and Furious it was gun control). We know from Fast and Furious that this administration doesn't care about the victims and their families who are hurt and killed if the action advances their political agenda.

We also know that the MSM will do almost anything to help this administration and provide cover for them.

They’ve lost the independents. Going to try to solidify the base now. More dangerous than ever, especially with the power of executive order.

This...along with Obummer’s promise to have all troops out of Afghanistan by September 2012....all add up to nothing but political hay-making. Scumbags.

Kinda doesn’t really say they’re going to close it...In fact, it looks like they are saying that it won’t be closed this term. PERIOD But maybe next term.

Of course, Holder, Jarrett and 0bama want GITMO closed. All those vicious terrorists could be sent ‘home’ to be released in further Arab ‘Spring’ (as in spring them out of jail) actions. You know, like Saudi, Yemen, Egypt, Libya....

That way, even more Americans and Israelis can be killed and or otherwise busted up. Besides, the terrorists at GITMO could somehow end up with F&F operations inside the US that we don’t know about. Those .50 cals went somewhere.

Who knows. Maybe they’ll end up in R2P troops sent to the US to ‘guard the election’ process. “For the children.” Or, maybe they’ll be AmeriCorps, SEIU or Forest Service employees at 9/11 ‘memorials.’ Then again, they could always get jobs with TSA, the military or covert agencies.

Great moniker. Airedales are wonderful.

No point in closing Gitmo at this point in time.

I’m suspecting that a whole “new” bunch of residents will be heading there shortly after noon on 20 January, 2013.

FAST AND FURIOUS TAPES:

Of the four excerpts released to the public, the first one best demonstrates the angst of those involved in the operation and the necessity for everyone, including Holder, to be sure their stories matched up:

HOWARD: “[Dodson’s] more toxic than you realize. I can tell you because I asked him, ‘How much of this f-——g file did you release?’ ”

McALLISTER: “Mmm hmm.”

HOWARD: “He said basically the underlying case file. I said, ‘Okay, who’d you release it to? F-——g [Sen.] Patrick Leahy!’ Okay? Wasn’t just [Sen. Chuck] Grassley, it was Leahy, alright? Leahy, as we both know, has adjourned this inquiry right now, okay, with no plans to reconvene it. So your people were successful to that end.” (Italics added.)

McALLISTER: “Right.”

HOWARD: “Obviously that’s good. However these idiots from …”

McALLISTER: “… The House?”

HOWARD: “Yeah, and that I don’t know. What is troublesome with this [is] I expected [Rep.] Darrell Issa’s signature to be on this [but] it wasn’t. He’s your biggest thorn. He hates Holder.”

McALLISTER: “Yeah. Where’s he out of?”

HOWARD: “Darrell Issa?”

McALLISTER: “California.”

HOWARD: “Lamar Smith, you know’s, out of Texas, I don’t know. Holder has to respond to this tomorrow.”

McALLISTER: “Yeah, he’s gonna respond.”

HOWARD: “I know he is. And I assure you the media isn’t gonna like his response, because basically it’s gonna mirror what he’s told Grassley.”

McALLISTER: “Yeah.”

HOWARD: “He can’t deviate.” (Italics added.)

McALLISTER: “Well if, I mean, I’ve seen a rough copy of what our U.S. attorney here has sent up. Whether or not he has the balls to actually use it or not, I doubt it. But I mean, it’s pretty aggressive. The way I see it, our local U.S. attorney is extremely aggressive. [But] when it gets to D.C. …”

HOWARD: “Who, [Assistant U.S. Attorney] Emory [Hurley]?”

McALLISTER: “No, the U.S. attorney.”

HOWARD: “Burke, yeah, used to work under Clinton. …Talking about [Dennis] Burke?”

McALLISTER: “Mmm hmm.”

HOWARD: “Yeah, well ...”

McALLISTER: “But the problem is, once it gets to D.C., it just gets … well, you know.”

HOWARD: “Discombobulated—that’s a good term for it. Yeah, I get that.”

If they really have lost everyone but their base, the only way to win is a 3rd party shill candidate, so watch for it!

“Trying to buy another four years before his indictment.”

Holder should be extradited to Mexico for his part in Fast and Furious. The Mexicans want to put him in one of their prisons.

Not to sound like a Dim-o-crat talking about Bush and Cheney, but sometimes I truly wonder if there is *just* enough for charges of treason against these fools. I ask myself sometimes what exactly is going on here with these guys? And to me it seems pretty clear cut: This administration has quite a blatant agenda of treason.

1. On THE very first day Obama took office, THE very first thing he tried to do was shut down Gitmo. Above EVERYTHING else, this was priority #1 on this fools plate.

2. Going all out to try KSM as a civilian under constitutional rights. Why exactly? To increase his chances of acquittal? Why? This mutt is responsible for the greatest mass murder on US soil in US history. I don’t buy this BS that “we must show that the system works” or whatever BHOs excuse was. KSM is the very definition of an enemy combatant. End of story.

3. When a homosexual in the military named Bradley Manning was found to have committed the largest military security breach in US history, what did BHO do? IMMEDIATELY try to overturn DADT which he has now succeeded at. Why? For gay rights? Or because he was attuned to how homosexuals can damage the military by their emotionality? I pick the former.

This is exactly why the founding fathers wanted NATURAL BORN citizens as POTUS. Not idiots like this fool who to me has shown time and time again that not only does he act to purposely harm this country, but that some of those acts could even be construed as TREASON!

But the fact is no Repubs in positions of power have the balls to bring it up do they? Maybe Peter King but I think not even him would tread in that area. Treason seems to be a running joke nowdays doesn’t it? Each side bringing it up and all you hear is “yeah yeah yeah right”.

From here on expect that everything Obama and his cronies do between now and November 6, 2012 will be geared toward winning reelection.

Obama will definitely do a lot of damage in November-January after he is thrown out of office.
