CHICAGO (WLS) - A lot of reaction Wednesday morning to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky's interview with Don Wade and Roma.
Schakowsky said that Americans don't deserve to keep all of their money because we need taxes to support our society.
Ill put it this way. You dont deserve to keep all of it and its not a question of deserving because what government is, is those things that we decide to do together. And there are many things that we decide to do together like have our national security. Like have police and fire. What about the people that work at the National Institute of Health who are looking for a cure for cancer, Schakowsky said.
Schakowsky also says one reason the 2009 stimulus bill did not succeed was because it was not large enough.

Who should oppose Rep. Schakowsky? Her new district will include most of New Trier, Northfield, and Wheeling Townships, areas that have a lot of Republicans. I hope that a conservative township official or mayor will run.
I always thought the leaders put her on that committee so she could obtain some intelligent (by osmosis?)
What are the chances of converting those eggheads who keep electing the likes of Schakowsky?
She's pretty much a full-on Communist.
Schakowsky , Jan (i) Dem 114,969 66%
Pollak , Joel GOP 54,274 31%
Ribeiro , Simon Grn 4,374 3%
In THAT year, of all years, 69% of the voting public voted whacky left.
On normal years, I'd expect to see 75% voting for Communist takeover. Jan Schakowsky
Not meaning to be scathing or harsh, but you exhibit a "slave to government" mentality with your Civil Rights declaration.
If the government gives rights then they can take them away at their leisure later, can't they?
Who's DUmber, the DUmocrat politician or the idiots who keep putting them into office or positions of power?
That’s what I figured. The biggest mouth politicians who come on the radio and tv to blather only do so because they live in secure districts. They are not profiles in courage, for sure.
I see what you’re saying but for the sake of the argument, it’s splitting hairs.
I (along with many others) worked my butt off for Joel Pollack last time out. I thought he ran a good campaign, had lots of resources, and a huge crew of volunteers. Still could not get more than 33%. I don't know if he's planning another run or not.
In the meantime, I'm out of the ninth with the new map. If it holds up in court, I'll be a Dold guy ... could he be any less visible in DC?
What if we decide “together” that “government” is too “big” and some things need to be “not done”. Especially by “government”.
I think some things were decided together in 2010 and will be done “together” in 2012 as well.
Will be holding my breath for your thoughts, Schakowsky. Is there an elementary school teaching rubric or metric we can agree on? Maybe a template or a meme?
Joel Pollak moved to the Los Angeles area. This week, a reporter asked Joel whether he’ll move back to the Chicago area, to run for Congress. He said that he won’t do that.
Dear COngresscritter Schakowsky:
Thank you so very much for providing us with a WONDERFUL campaign ad for the 2012 Elections.
Please do not stop showing us who you and your fellow Commun - err, Democrats - really are.
You’re doing a fine job of it.
She’s just corroborating what WE out here already know about who the Dems really are...
But there’s a bright spot to this - she’s also enlightening a whole bunch of people who never paid attention before.
Use it. Every time they f***k up and let the mask slip, USE it as a “Teachable Moment” for folks.
Every Freeper has a DUTY to show this to at least ten “independents” or other folks who “aren’t really into politics...”
They may not be into politics, but I can damn sure guarantee you that they’re into their own wallets - and to hear this Marxist piece of sh*t say it out loud, without batting an eye - well, if that doesn’t change minds, we ARE truly headed for civil war.
This garbage and desereves to be thrown out of congress and publically humiliated.
Atta girl, Jan. Keep up with your delusions. Between you and Dumpy Washerwoman-Schultz, you're a laugh a minute.
BTW, thanks, Illinois for this gem.
Now THAT's a walking oxymoron if there ever was one.
Angry liberal women... they all have “that look,” don’t they?
I would get in touch with Pollack and see if he is considering another run. So many of our good guys don’t make it the first time around, like our Allen West here in Florida.
What happened in NY and NV is showing us this time around Republicans will have a much better chance in high DEM areas as folks are turning on Ovomit and his gang!
Thanks for the ping!
