While Sarah Palin continues to stoke the fires and keep people guessing about her Presidential intentions, Republican voters seem to be speaking loud and clear:
All in all, most voters 74 percent think Palin should stay on the sidelines in 2012. Just 20 percent think she should run for president.
The groups most likely to support Palin running are white evangelical Christians (30 percent) and Tea Party members (28 percent). Still, majorities of those groups do not think she should run (62 percent and 66 percent respectively). In addition, 72 percent of conservatives, 71 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of independents think Palin should stay out.
Women (77 percent) are a bit more likely than men (71 percent) to say Palin should sit this one out.
Just among women, Republicans (26 percent) are more likely than independents (24 percent) and Democrats (15 percent) to think Palin should run.

These little acts of subterfuge will only further Palin's resolve to eliminate 'cronyism' in the political system, and galvanize a decision to jump in the race.
It's very telling that Palin's camp hasn't said ONE WORD about that whole goat rodeo Crow caused...
If your thinking is solely to beat Obama & we elect another just like Obama (most good-old-boys fit that description) then why worry about defeating Obama. 73% of Americans, according to RealClearPolitics think our country is going in the wrong direction, 83% hate Congress and yet the majority of voters believe a Democrat would do a better job than a Republican. Clear thinking, yet you claim to be one of the 70% of voters who know Palin fought corruption (our current government), reduced spending, and believes in we the people instead of power and self-serving,profess your love for her, but wouldn’t vote for her because she can’t win. What an amazing statement!
ding~! ding~! ding~! we have a winner
When Romney had 26% support among republicans they said he was “the front runner” (I kept pointing out that 74% were AGAINST him)
Funny, too, how 4 years ago, this race was ‘over’ with Romney leading all the polls. How’d that turn out?
Thanks for the definitive clarification.....we live in very interesting GOP times....
So you're willing to concede to the Rats that their Alinsky tactics worked and thus vindicate future "thumpings" against other Conservatives?
The people who support her tend to be extremely supportive. Just like Ron Paul's people tend to be extremely supportive of their guy. What we need to see is whether she gets enough support from a sufficiently large number of Republicans to win the primary, or whether she turns out to be the Ron Paul of the Tea Party movement.
Slander against dogs!!!! I prefer spineless jellyfish.
Mark Levin opined that her “big announcement” on the 3td is the nationwie release of her movie UNDEFEATED and not yet her announcement to run
TGO allows announcin both is bad business sense w/o precident.
As an advetiser myself, I’d announce both at the same time
the movie longates the entry into the Presidential campaign
and owns the news cycle for 60 days
She sure said it loud and clear, before this:
I was quite sure that he wasnt going to run, because he was adamant until about four months ago that he wasnt going to run, she said. But she was quick to add that Perrys change of heart was fine. I was surprised that he had changed his position on that, but Im glad that hes going to be in there.
A reporter asked whether, if Obama had committed that sort of flip-flop, she would be more critical, she laughed. I probably would, to tell you the truth, she said
Even with Perry in the race, she said, I see room in the field. Definitely.
If at the end of the line hes the one left standing, I would be extremely enthused about him because Im a believer in ABO anybody but Obama. So, absolutely. But theres still a long time in this process, Palin said, adding that Perrys entry doesnt affect her decision making.
Then don’t vote for her in the primaries! Simple!
Vote for the one you deem most electable and cut the crap!
Settle for less, but I won’t.
“...from some of the more quiet people who never get polled.”
I don’t think you are more likely to be polled if you stand in the street, shout and wave your hands.
I think the numbers are probably not far off. Note they move this way shortly after R’s believe they have (1) A not Romney, who can (2) Beat Zero, and who has (3) Experience running a state.
Conservative R’s, who are generally savvier politically, realize that a second attractive conservative candidate with high negatives makes it more likely Romney will win the nomination. So I’m not surprised with the numbers.
I need to get to know Perry better. But at this moment I would be delighted with either Perry or Palin our candidate. On a can-win criterion, I think Palin has a much steeper hill to climb than Perry against Zero. But we will know more about that in three months.
yeah, wouldn’t want to hurt Houseman’s chances now, would ya?
And she's also said she'll endorse no matter who wins the RNC because its 'Anyone but Obama'- which I vehemently disagree with. ABO is not a winning strategy- its a losing emotional plea.
I'm more intrigued with who she's sitting on the sidelines with... my first guess is Trump.
P. U. LBJ won because the electorate was not going to change horses again after the assassination of JFK and yes, I’m old enough to remember the election, too.
Obama is a Marxist, but our side has to put up a moderate to attract the middle? Sheesh.
Reagan was on a TV show with a chimp. Obviously he wasn’t a serious candidate.
Yeah, so do we, Jimmy! RUN, SARAH, RUN!
I don’t disagree.
Which is why I support Herman Cain!
For more than a year I’ve been saying that there is zero chance she runs because even she know that she can’t win. Like it or not she is way too toxic for anyone outside of her core supporters.
