While Sarah Palin continues to stoke the fires and keep people guessing about her Presidential intentions, Republican voters seem to be speaking loud and clear:
All in all, most voters 74 percent think Palin should stay on the sidelines in 2012. Just 20 percent think she should run for president.
The groups most likely to support Palin running are white evangelical Christians (30 percent) and Tea Party members (28 percent). Still, majorities of those groups do not think she should run (62 percent and 66 percent respectively). In addition, 72 percent of conservatives, 71 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of independents think Palin should stay out.
Women (77 percent) are a bit more likely than men (71 percent) to say Palin should sit this one out.
Just among women, Republicans (26 percent) are more likely than independents (24 percent) and Democrats (15 percent) to think Palin should run.

Republicans, eh? Like Karl Rove, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and so on.
Who cares? They should poll some CONSERVATIVES.

Fox ought to sue Doug Mataconis - He is not Fox News as the title implies. He is a democrat pig wallowing in Pig Stuff.

not true. She has a lot of support...from some of the more quiet people who never get polled.
To: ilovesarah2012
Didn’t ask me, obviously.
Nice try, pollsters...shove it!

No! There's a ton of Conservative Evangelical Christians that love Sarah Palin, but just don't want her to run for POTUS.

Count me in that 70%. The idea is to beat Obama, not to set in motion a media circus and fragmentation of independents which would guarantee his reelection.

LOL. Then don’t vote for her in the primaries. Obviously, you’re not a conservative since you would rather cater to so-called Independents (moderates).

I just do not believe it.Why? Poll after poll after poll shows the same thing. Governor Palin not very popular, and outside of her core supporters there is little interest in seeing her as a candidate for 2012. It is what it is. I love Palin, but its been completely obvious for many months that the path she has chosen is not one that involves running for President in 2012.
To: ilovesarah2012
More proof of my theory that only certain people are contacted for polls since their likely response is known by the pollster. EVERY poll is rigged by the person or organization who bought and paid for the poll. They dictate the question and the results. Why would they pay for something that does not support their position?

More like afraid she won’t be able to beat Obama. I like her, but I think her unfavourables are too high. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and it’s unfortunate that the McCain campaign chose Couric and Gibson venue to do that. Also, the reality is that some people may not vote for her because she’s a woman.
