WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama on Saturday personally led his government’s response to Hurricane Irene, marshalling top officials and visiting a disaster command center as the storm roared ashore.
Obama greeted officials at the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) set up at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, and then held a video conference with federal and state officials.

Maybe Obama’s handlers will next have him dressed as George Washington,in a row boat,rowing across one of the flooded streets in NY or NJ? Or have him standing in the surf of the ocean,with a large Moses like staff,commanding the storm surge to be gone? No matter what he does here he’ll still appear as a fool?

Well...it was a good thing he got involved at the National Hurricane Center. Like everything else he touches, Irene soon fizzled out and failed. True?

My den flooded (a little). FEMA was nowhere to be found.
If Katrina was Bush’s Fault...then Irene is FuBO’s fault.
Surprisingly enough, I didn’t:
1. Go on a looting spree.
2. Shoot at rescue helicopters (which didn’t come anyway).
3. Loudly and vehemently scream about levees being blown up because “Obama Hates White People”...
4. Pillage my neighbor’s houses.
5. Wade through the water with a recycle bin full of stolen Heineken.
Imagine...all I did was stop the water entry and bail it out.

ulsterman’s ‘insider’ has an interesting ‘report’ on this today. believe what one wants, the biggest thing I have seen actual telegraphed ahead of time was a possible allusion to the obl kill about a week before.
