Obama's own words describe a "Do-Nothing" President.

Minutes into President Obama's speech, he uttered the following words...

"...That doesn’t mean we don’t have a problem. The fact is, we didn’t need a rating agency to tell us that we need a balanced, long-term approach to deficit reduction. That was true last week. That was true last year. That was true the day I took office."

He then goes on...

"We knew from the outset that a prolonged debate over the debt ceiling -- a debate where the threat of default was used as a bargaining chip -- could do enormous damage to our economy and the world’s."

Taking Obama at his word, he knew of the deficit problem two and a half years ago when he took office, and he knew if not dealt with sooner, rather than later, damage would be done to the economy.

Why then, did he not address this issue years ago, especially when the Democrats controlled both ends of Congress his first two years?

This President may point the finger at others, but his own words, and three other fingers in his hand, point back to him... the "Do-Nothing" President.

"Doesn’t have a point of view Knows not where he’s going to Isn’t he a bit like you and me?

NO!

It all fits except for the chorus.

If only he really did nothing, it would be much easier to take. This guy is the largest walking disaster of a president since James Buchanan.

how about another Beatle song... “Act Naturally”

“They’re gonna put me in the Whitehouse.
They’re gonna make a big star outta me.
The biggest fool to ever hit the Whitehouse.
And all I gotta do is, act naturally”

feel free to continue the lyrics... sure we can get creative

Obama’s anthem:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Maz9ddxEQnM

One, two, three, four...
Hrmm!
One, two, (one, two, three, four!)

Let me tell you how it will be;
There’s one for you, nineteen for me.
‘Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don’t take it all.
‘Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

(if you drive a car, car;) - I’ll tax the street;
(if you try to sit, sit;) - I’ll tax your seat;
(if you get too cold, cold;) - I’ll tax the heat;
(if you take a walk, walk;) - I’ll tax your feet.

Taxman!

‘Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Don’t ask me what I want it for, (ah-ah, mister Wilson)
If you don’t want to pay some more. (ah-ah, mister heath)
‘Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
‘Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

And you’re working for no one but me.

Taxman!

I wasn’t offended I was just pointing out that it all fit except for the chorus.

I don’t agree with the chorus either, but seeing the Beatles would be considered liberal I think “like you and me” would mean liberal like them. Then it fits.

Day after day
alone on a hill
the man with the foolish grin
is keeping perfectly still
but nobody wants to know him
they can see that he’s just a fool
and he never gives an answer

But the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning round

Well on the way
head in a cloud
the man of a thousand voices
talking perfectly loud

But nobody ever hears him
or the sounds he appears to make
and he never seems to notice

But the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning round

And nobody seems to like him
they can tell what he wants to do
and he never shows his feelings

But the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning round

He never listens to them
he knows that they’re the fools
they don’t like him

The fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning round

That very well could be.

LOL!

And, people really don’t believe me when I tell them that I was (and still am) not a Beatle fan and had no idea that song existed.

I chose “Taxman” as my FR handle because of my involvement (since 1991) in the National Retail Sales Tax (nee FairTax) movement.

So, the term has a different meaning to me and those who know what I advocate for.
