Amidst riots in central Europe that have now spread to London and a debt downgrade that threatens to plunge the United States into a double-dip recession, Americans lack of confidence in their leadership is so crippled that they are now pre-revolutionary, according to pollster Pat Caddell.
A new Rasmussen poll shows that just 17 per cent of Americans believe that the U.S. government has the consent of the governed, an all time low. This dovetails with a record low for Congress approval rating, which stands at a paltry 6 per cent, while 46 per cent of Americans think most members of Congress are corrupt, with just 29% believing otherwise.
The number of voters who feel the government has the consent of the governed a foundational principle, contained in the Declaration of Independence is down from 23% in early May and has fallen to its lowest level measured yet, according to Rasmussen.
The poll was conducted before Fridays U.S. debt downgrade, indicating that the figures could be even more dire in the aftermath of what some analysts believe is a precursor to a new great depression.
The results of this survey indicate that Americans are now pre-revolutionary says pollster Pat Caddell, who described the outcome of the poll as unprecedented.
This conclusion follows Caddells observation last November that a sea of anger is churning amongst Americans who want to take their country back and that the nation stood on the brink of a pre-revolutionary moment.

I think he meant to say that our "confidence" is crippled, and that would make sense. The reason people lack faith in their leaders is because those "leaders" won't leave them alone to live in peace and freedom. Instead of supporting our Constitution and promoting our nation's values, they choose to tax us abusively, spend our money wildly, feed the power of government obsessively - and then have the audacity to blame us for the results of what they are doing.
"Pre-revolutionary" is right.
well it is for me, since I walk with a cane and move about 1 mph on a good day.
Got hit by one of Obama’s voters who was texting while driving through a parking garage. she came around the corner and plowed right into me. Knocked me 30 feet. Funny thing was the Dr. in the emergency room said, “if you had been skinny, youde be dead now.” First time I ever heard that said...
[So your idea of patriotism is run and hide?]
That is likely the best strategy this time around. This will be a civil war that goes to the survivor - it will take decads. The welfare state is imploding, the working class will withdraw its support. You won’t be able to fight packs of animals, but you might be able to survive them if you hunker down.
Hey, I understand. No critic here.
....but you gotta admit, it does sound kinda hinky ;o)
I’m saying to use it as an example.
Milling around and trying to decide whether to obey the “disperse” command from the authorities is a good way to get massacred when someone makes a decision on his own.
Decide on an exact course of action BEFORE they get there, and carry it out when they do.
“..Congress approval rating, which stands at a paltry 6 per cent”
Yet the vast majority will be retained in the next election.
It doesn’t matter how much you hate your politician, as long as he can make you hate his opponent worse.
I’m in. Better than what we have now and where we are headed. I feel like a slave now.
Pish, posh!
You never read about how Carlos Hathcock and his spotter pinned down an entire company of NVA for more than a day?
Now THAT is American exceptionalism!
Just remember me if you need help with logistics.
What you see with that is that people hate other states’ congressmen but like their own, or don’t want to give up the power that “tenure” gives to congressmen.
Somehow, that system has to be shaken up.
And nobody ever suspects the fat old guy...
The left has their perfect “proxy army” in the urban youths that have been stampeded into “beat whitey” nights, etc.
They are perfect because they can be protected by the state without the state being implicated in their violence.
The original is from a fringe site called ‘Information Wars’ which is pretty much foilhat. That said, I do believe the productive middle and upper middle class are in a state of barely suppressed fury. A couple more years of BO and the slimy maneuverings of the permanent government Republicans could bring us to mass civil disobedience which does not mean mass non violence. If I worked for the feds I would start now and remove any objects of value or sentiment I had in my office or cubicle. EPA or IRS employees should be especially sensitive to what may come. DHS also.
quit yer bitchin.
Somebody’s gotta teach these youngins how to core out the ten ring!
Indeed it does sound hinky.I’m just screwed up like a mexican space shuttle..thats my problem.
Of course, if you give me about 20 minutes and let me get to my gun safe and help me load some magazines, then I’m like a real slow version of the punisher.
Been a legal gun carrier since 1991
IDPA shooter with a 1911
was on the winning end of an armed confrontation not once but TWICE in the past ten years and never had to kill anyone.
I’m a newspaper reporter and have been threatened by drug dealers Ive written about nine times in the past ten years.
But Concord and the long British retreat back to Boston were fabulous. Al Gore and his ilk who admire the "Arab Spring" should be careful what they wish for.
Kevin Costner’s “the postman”?
