We have become a Third World country with our fearless leader constantly on TV addressing the latest crisis. Ever since The One took office, we have been in a constant state of turmoil. Everything is a crisis and must be dealt with immediately or the sky will fall.

I am sure Plouffe told Obama to get out there immediately and demonstrate that he is a deficit hawk who pleaded for the grand bargain but those Tea Party types just wouldn't allow Boehner to compromise--the focus group tested word along with a "balanced" solution. Look for the words "compromise" and "balanced" to be mentioned multiple times to ensure the subliminal message is delivered.

And of course our Campaigner in Chief will tell us that America is still an economic powerhouse and a safe place to invest. He will say how he has been in contact with Europe and all is well. No need to panic. And then he will say how he is directing all his energy and efforts to improve the job situation including his directives to Congress on what needs to be done, e.g., extend unemployment benefits and the 2% payroll tax reduction, and employer tax credits for hiring veterans.
