The left-wing activist group MoveOn.org picked up the new liberal slogan bashing conservatives for Standard & Poor’s U.S. credit rating downgrade: “Tea Party downgrade.” President Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry both used the phrase on Sunday talk shows.
In a Sunday afternoon email to supporters, MoveOn.org accused tea partiers of being responsible for the first-ever credit downgrade in U.S. history. “This ‘tea party downgrade’ is a shameful blow to our nation’s honor and risks throwing us right back into recession,” Moveon.org wrote. “Worst of all? It was completely avoidable. But when given the choice between extremist posturing and responsible leadership, tea party Republicans chose wrong.” (RELATED: Axelrod: ‘This is essentially a tea party downgrade’)
MoveOn.org added that “now, amazingly, they’re trying to pin the blame on Democrats.”

"Cut, Cap & Balance" offered $4T in cuts which is what the ratings agencies asked for. It passed the House under Boehner with a bipartisan vote. CCB was the "Tea Party" plan.

You can depend that "Tea Party downgrade" was focus-group tested, as is every Talking Point before they choose which designated propagandists will get the Big Lie snowball started so that the State Propagandist Media can report the quote and perpetuate and accentuate the Big Lie Talking Point.
CC&B --- It was well known by both parties that the rating agencies stated that $4 trillion needed to be cut to avoid probable downgrade.
Are we going to see a token Repub step forward next to keep the Big Lie rolling, or are they going to keep silent and let the Dems do their dirty work?
Catch phrases only appeal to liberals and idiots, not to be redundant.

laser like focus on jobs leaves us with unemployment over 9%
Czars/appointees who draft policies to bypass congress
Tim Geithner, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid (self explanatory)
Open hostility toward the American people and the military
Documented embrace of marxist/communist ideology
Continued assault on the private sector and ‘producers’
And they celebrate coming up with a pr meme/campaign slogan in 48 hrs??? It should be rammed down their throats where the true priority of the left lies. I look forward to them trying another fandance with the American people.
There is a simple question to ask the President. What is your plan to restore the AAA rating? The house leaders need to be asked the same question. To not act is not an option.
Except it didn’t work for last November, we mopped the floor despite the media’s anti tea party hysteria. They do not have that much control. Obama conned a lot people who were primed to be conned, I know many of them and they are not going to vote for him again. They may not vote pubbie but they won’t pull the lever for the commie in chief. It was a unique election that will not be repeated this time around.
It will take a third party to get the commie back in office, he cannot win in a two party fight no matter how much propaganda is excreted by the MSM.
In conversations with people I know, we have concluded that the pain has to happen. It has to be extreme. People are in such denial and have been for so long that short of open warfare only pain (of the financial/disruption of their lifestyle kind) will force them to deal in reality.
The facts you cited are true but to many, they aren’t ‘real’ AKA they do not see them directly effect them personally. It has to get so bad that they can no longer ignore the truth. They have to lose homes, cars, vacations, property...all of it. Unfortunately all of us pay for their ‘education’ one way or another.
How about calling the current residents of the WH the FUBAR Administration.
