Tea Partys War on America By JOE NOCERA
You know what they say: Never negotiate with terrorists. It only encourages them.
These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for deep spending cuts, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of Americas most invaluable assets, its full faith and credit, were incredibly irresponsible. But they didnt care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if thats what it took.
Like ideologues everywhere, they scorned compromise. When John Boehner, the House speaker, tried to cut a deal with President Obama that included some modest revenue increases, they humiliated him. After this latest agreement was finally struck on Sunday night amounting to a near-complete capitulation by Obama Tea Party members went on Fox News to complain that it only called for $2.4 trillion in cuts, instead of $4 trillion. It was head-spinning.
All day Monday, the blogosphere and the talk shows mused about which party would come out ahead politically. Honestly, who cares? What ought to matter is not how these spending cuts will affect our politicians, but how theyll affect the country. And Im not even talking about the terrible toll $2.4 trillion in cuts will take on the poor and the middle class. I am talking about their effect on Americas still-ailing economy.
Americas real crisis is not a debt crisis. Its an unemployment crisis. Yet this agreement not only doesnt address unemployment, its guaranteed to make it worse.

Unbelievable. Criminals running the legal system.
These last few years, much of the country has watched in horror as the Main Stream Media has waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for acceptance of their belief system, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of Americas most invaluable assets, the credibility of it’s journalists, were amazingly irresponsible. But they didnt care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if thats what it took.
I think he’s already taking pills...lots of them.
It should be pretty clear now that our elites view the American people as the biggest threat to them.
Not jihad, communist revolution. aka "fundamental transformation", aka "Change".
“Someone give this man a pill............ “
This man is rolling out the overall strategy for the 2012 elections. He and others are providing key words that will be used over and over- jihad, terrorist, holding a gun, holding a gun to America’s head, arson, burning America, and so forth. Guns, fire, terrorism, TEA Party.
Lengthy articles like this one at first until the concepts are planted, then later, just using the word (now pre-loaded with definitions and nuance) will be enough.
The Dems can’t run FOR anything except “change” and “justice” and other undefined concepts. They must run AGAINST something to give them a platform. Looks like the platform will be the TEA Party.
Just like how everything was Bush’s Fault (a strategery that worked well), everything now will be against those terrorist TEA Party members, their shadowy supporters, and anyone who takes their side.
ACORN and SEIU will openly attack some “TEA Party” unfortunates and the US Justice Dept will do nothing. hate speech will flow unabated from the TV sets.
I smile because I know they see progressivism waning and they know they are powerless to stop it so this is just emotional lashing out
If I let it- this stuff would make me angry.
I don’t know if tea party rally’s are still happening, I’ve not heard of any in my state (Al) but we need to keep them happening. And if they are - instead of getting angry I am going to try to find out if there is a tea party rally in my state anytime soon- if so- for the fist time in my 50+ years I will attend a political rally... just because the tea party has apparently driven the likes of NYT and Joe Biden off the deep end.

Before that the left painted the right as wanting to assassinate Zippo, going so far as making claims the Secret Service was chock a block full of racist, and lo and behold we learned UBL had plans for the assassination of Zippo.
Before that, Zippo tried to stir up civil unrest with the Gates dust up and surprise surprise a terrorist attack was planned for NYC’s subway.
Truly is amazing how the terrorist always seem to plan their terrorist attacks with the lefts talking points in mind.

"The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.
The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them."

After the election....
A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

July 1, 2009...
Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.
In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.
We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.
We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.
In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.
Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.
Isnt it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?
Cant we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?
And isnt the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system a system steeped in racism no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?
All these things are within reach now!

Once again, the Left accuses the Right of its own intentions.
I am not a Harry Potter fan, but I think the Hobbits win in the end, don’t they?
With the PIIGS in full view, they still can’t see.
Why don’t they compare and contrast between individual liberty and freedom and communism?
I’m reading the comments now. Number 3 is delusional!
We have to listen to them very carefully - they are practically SCREAMING what they will do when they have the power (note to FReepers: “Having the power” does NOT mean “winning elections”). The Left is no longer about elections.
