Like they always do when Republicans do not go along with Democrats, the leftist MSM is again trying their best to convince the base that they are caving into the pressure from Obama and moving towards allowing the debt ceiling to be raised. As usual, when I read comments by many conservatives, I read that they are finished with the Republicans because they have caved to the left.
First off, we are talking a bout a media that has yet to tell the truth about anything Republicans say or do. A media that cannot find a viable life form in a woman who is pregnant. A media that time and time again fabricates polls to make the base disheartened and stay home during an election. A media that thinks the founding fathers were all socialist, and the historic document they signs is a living breathing document that they wanted to change with the times. A media that thinks the founding fathers wanted America to be subservient to rogue governments around the world.
As for me, until I see them cave, I will not believe they are. I will do my part to keep them from caving by continuing to send emails calling their offices, but I will not ever believe what the MSM writes when it comes to what the Republicans are saying. Especially when the reporter uses un-named sources. We have too many trusted outlets of news today to ever allow the leftists in the MSM to fool us into believing lies.
Remember, whether it be ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, FOX (at times), BBC, BOSTON GLOBE, LA TIMES, NY TIMES, ,SAN FRAN CHRONICLE, SEATTLE TIMES, EVENING STANDARD, GUARDIAN, USA TODAY, WALL STREET JOURNAL, WASH POST, or any other leftists rag, they all have the same agenda. They all want to promote the policies that Obama and his socialist buddies in Congress want. They will always lie to you, they always have lied to you, and they are not going to start telling you the truth no matter how badly you want to believe them.
So, STOP LISTENING TO THEM!

If the MSM openly calls for their assassination or removal by fiat (snipers wanted), then I will be convinced they will not cave, but any reports of Plan B, C,.. X, Y or Z means a cave.

So true, and that is why we need to be logical and stop crying, “I’m done with the Republicans”, every time the MSM say unnamed sources have said so and so, and such and such, is what republicans are doing and or said.

Even if the MSM says the sky is blue take it with a huge grain of salt. I say make sure the tea party-backed candidates who do get elected are always mindful of why they got their jobs in the first place.

If the MSM said the sky is blue, I would point out that they are absolutely lying again. It's pink/orange at sunrise and sunset; grey during rain; and black at night.

We need to fight smart. One aspect of that is making sure we are not lapping up disinformation.
Even some of our talk radio/teevee hosts need to ensure that they don’t believe first reports, verify, and find out what the facts are before opining.
Info moves very quickly now. It doesn’t hurt anything to take a few minutes or hours to, say, find out exactly what it is a lawmaker is proposing, etc. before ragging on it OR supporting it.

Actually, this is the very reality the LSM is working overdrive to try to counter.
They know politicians, and they know very well that the exact reason Republicans haven’t caved and are pushing back as hard as they are is because their base — the Tea Party movement — is holding them accountable.
That’s got even Tingles and David Gregory wailing that “the Tea Party has won.” Now, we don’t feel as though we’ve “won” — we’re just getting rolling! But what they are expressing is pure, unadultered DISBELIEF and HORROR that there’s a grassroots movement out there that’s POWERFUL enough to actually influence politicians in Congress!
That’s unheard of! I mean, a million of us marched on Washington against Obamacare and VeryBarry, Pelosi and Reid did it anyway. So, what did we do next? We elected a bunch of new people to go up there and stop the madness. And they know their jobs are on the line if we aren’t satisfied with their efforts.
This is no good. What about all those freepers who love to run around in circles, pointing in every direction and yelling “RINO!” between mutters of, “What’ll I do what’ll I do what’ll I do...”? How do you think you make them feel with your thread of cold water in the face? Huh? Well..?
We’ll have to see how this unfolds. And sometimes I think it’s okay to have all this jawflapping about the Republicans caving because it does have the effect of holding their feet to the fire.
At the same time, they need to know we have their back — their only power to stand up to this madness is what we give them with our support and votes.
Also, as the OP said, too much of this can be exploited by the LSM to make it look as though Barry has more power than he really does.
No, but, I know the history of the Republicans. Their reputation proceeds them.
