NBC Chicago blogger Edward Edward Mcclellands not happy about the fact that ex-con Rodrick Dantzler got ahold of a .40 caliber handgun and killed seven people in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The only way to prevent this sort of thing from happening again is to track the weapon back to the gun manufacturer, then burn its factory to the ground. As long as it is legal to make and sell a product whose only function is to kill people, that product will be used to kill people illegally. A thug whos planning a murder is not likely to worry about the penalty for stealing a gun. At least Eddy gets that part of the equation right. And then hes off again . . .
As a society, weve decided that the free manufacture of firearms is worth the sacrifice of seven people in Grand Rapids, or five people in DeKalb, or 32 people in Blacksburg, Va. Did you hear any politician suggest banning firearms after those bloodbaths? I didnt.
Nor will Eddy hear any great chorus for gun control. Most people are well aware that a firearm offers them protection from . . . other people with firearms. But Big Mac has it only slightly wrong. Here, let me fix it . . .
As a society, weve decided that the freedoms guaranteed by the individual right to keep and bear firearms are worth the dangers of living in society where criminals also have access to firearms.

Edward Mcclelland: Burn Down Gun Factories( but NOT until Mr McClelland gets HIS choice of firearms)
After all, Guns are for the elites but most definitely NOT for the ‘rabble’ in fly over country.

Or, we find a druggy who kills people with something and we track those drugs back to a drug kingpin with offices in the Empire State building (like we see so many times in TV shows) and we burn down Midtown Manhattan.
Or, we find another druggy who kills people and we trace his drugs back to an open air drug market in a bad part of town so we burn out................ well, that part right there is a problem because so many of those places look like they've been burned out already.
So, we find another druggy......
Better solution, we find somebody who kills people, give them quick justice and be done with it!
Now, let's say we find government officials authorizing the dispatch of firearms to known killers in Mexico and Honduras, and they do this in violation of our laws regarding weapons exports, we should be prepared to administer quick justice to them as well (subject to trial and conviction of course).
I suggest Mr Mcclelland personally lead the effort to commit arson against a firearm factory.
He will then learn, first-hand, how firearms are used in self-defense.
God save America!
Maybe the solution to subversive journalism is to burn the author’s home to the ground? Not much different from what this jerk’s advocating.
Wow, this goof is advocating arson?
OK there skippy put your money where your mouth is.
Go ahead Mr. McClelland, set the fire. see what happens.
“The only way to prevent this sort of thing from happening again is to track the weapon back to the gun manufacturer, then burn its factory to the ground.”
Great logic. Sounds like an Obama supporter. Don’t like something in society? Go burn something down.
Madness is to hold an erroneous perception and argue perfectly from it.

I wonder if Mr. Mcclelland would use violence against anyone who uses violence.
Where’s Mrs. O’Learys cow when you need it...
According to DOJ crime statistics, guns are used 2.5-million times per year to prevent robberies, rapes, murders, carjackings, home-invasions, etc., 99% of the time without a shot being fired.
I guess Mr. Mcclelland thinks those people deserve to be victimized.
...then what’s her Brownshirt buddies going to use to intimidate, and ultimately cook, the public?
MARKER
Probably more people have been killed by the writings of the NYT (or other lefty newspapers) than by privately owned handguns.
Think about how they covered up for the commies during the imposed famines in the Ukraine.
Great analysis.
I hope you save it for reposting on other gun related threads.
There is nothing to be gained by writing McClelland. The man is irrational. No facts or reasoning will register in his pathetic mind. People like him are to be pitied and their whines and rants ignored.
People like him are to be prevented from any positions of power over others.
Yes indeed. He needs to be in an institution that can help his mental problems.
Yeah, but Mr. McWhatever, if you burn down the gun manufacturer plants, where will you get YOUR weapons to suppress us? You know you will need lots of them and we are not giving you ours.
I don't think the Chicoms would sit still for that.
