After The Washington Post broke the news of the Watergate break-ins in 1972, the Nixon administration circled the wagons. And in 1997 – a full 25 years after the fact – Katherine Graham, who was with The Post in 1972, vividly recalled how “Nixon began making threats of economic retaliation against the paper.”
According to Graham, Nixon bullied the paper, sought to silence it, and launched a “campaign to undermine public confidence in [it].”
Judging from what Graham said, it appears that Nixon wanted to be sure people understood that if they continued to pry into Watergate or talk about Watergate or break news about Watergate as it unfolded, there would be harsh ramifications. (Keep in mind – Nixon had nothing to do with planning Watergate. Only with covering it up once he learned of it after the fact.)
Honestly folks, Watergate provided the Left with such a singularly sweet opportunity to bring down a Republican president that they’ve never gotten over it.
As recently as 2004, MSNBC sent reporters to the streets to be sure up and coming generations had not forgotten what Nixon had done. (I don’t want to belabor the point, but Nixon had nothing to do with planning Watergate. Only with covering it up once he learned of it after the fact.)

IMO, Fast and Furious is now at the point of needing a special prosecutor, and not some lap dog prosecutor either, someone of substance. We also need a presiding judge like Sirica.
From my experience, I nominate Joe Russinello, US Attorney, San Francisco as the prosecutor...he is honest, direct, and knows his stuff. For judge, how about we get someone out of retirment or on senior status like Bork who is a constitutional scholar.

Fast and Furious will destroy any relations with Mexico and will be the Nazi type of attempt to disarm Americans and install a dictatorship.

I think you've forgotten the identity of the target ~ to wit, the DNC, the location ~ DC, the actors ~ White House employees.
Although they tried, the special counsel folks didn't begin to plumb the depths of the federal laws that coulda/woulda/shoulda applied.
There were OTHER aspects to the cluster of screwups covered by the term "Watergate". My old buddy Tom Huston made up plans to bust into every Embassy in DC ~ John Dean ran around with cash payments for the purpose of silencing the original Cuban defendants (at Arlington Towers, Madison Building, 7 AM, etc. 7th and 8th floor where they were billeted) ~ and more, much more and DrugFair began selling breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches.
Well they have working so Fast and Furious that people have died, multiple agencies have committed felonies and probably hundreds of gubmint workers as well.
WaterGate only caught a President, one cook cat and a couple of inept burglars. Did anyone die... /s
Most people don't realize that fact about Watergate. Nixon had nothing to do with putting it together or making it happen.
He just reacted foolishly after some dolts did something foolish. Watergate was such a tragedy. It could have easily gone away if Nixon would have made some simple decisions differently.
I thought of him but he was not in the federal courts before. I would also consider Judge Roy Bean if he were still alive.
All he had to do was cut the dolts loose.

Fast and Furious has a body count that will likely grow. Charging those involved with negligent homicide is being too kind.

Mexico has recorded over 150 deaths traceable to this operation.
We are talking about a truly gruesome death toll, resulting from the President's attempt to undermine the 2nd Amendment.
