U.N. Agreement Should Have All Gun Owners Up In Arms
Forbes ^ | 06/07/2011 | Larry Bell

Posted on 06/07/2011 2:25:53 PM PDT by Carbonsteel

It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

Here we go again.

Maybe this is what Obama meant when he said he told Sarah Brady he was working on gun control "behind the scenes".

The Consitution no longer means squat to the law makers in this country!!!!

Everyone should read this article in full.

So who are they going to sucker into doing the confiscation, esp in Texas? Even the thugcops (i.e., bad cops) aren’t stupid enough to go there. And I seriously doubt our military would.

So that leaves blue helmets.

Well, there would be a LOT of dead blue helmets!

I can’t see this being ratified in the Senate.

Where do they get the bodies to put under the blue helmets if the US Military refuses to participate.

The global “Small Arms Treaty” has been floating around since Clinton. The UN “peacekeepers” didn’t have the manpower, equipment or guts to stop the tribal savages armed with clubs and machetes in Rwanda. Imagine how well they’ll do against 100 million armed Americans. But I guess it’s fun to drag this boogeyman out every few years to keep us on our toes.

good photo.

...also, wish more people would actually look at what Palin actually said. i don’t think Sarah Palin was trying to do a “gotcha” on the Media about Paul Revere, as even i first thought.
she seems to be trying to use it, as a lesson about 2nd Amendment. look how many times she uses the word “arms”.

...her ENTIRE emphasis, was about the rebels being able to DEFEND their liberty from the British,
BECAUSE they had arms.

= = =
””Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that

‘hey, you’re not going to take American arms,

you are not going to beat our own well-armed persons

individual private militia that we have.’”

”He who warned the British that they

weren’t going to be taking away our arms

by ringing those bells and by making sure that as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free

and we were going to be armed.”

True but when the US government would approve and enforce this (not that i think that this will happen) “you” would be f*cked.
As an ex military i can tell you that armed civilians do not fare well against a professional army.
This is a fact.
Just for example the standart “civilian” in iraq and afghanistan is much better armed (because its pretty common that every family has a AK47 back at home) than americans.
But lets face it it didn´t help them much against the US military.

Foriegn “peace keepers,” of course. But they’re probably not dumb enough to go their, either. Not to mention our military wouldn’t take kindly to foreign troops operating on our soil against US citizens.

Actually, that pretty much rules out blue helmets.

Maybe Obama’s plan is to get his “civilian defense force” (currently virtually in place as “Organizing for America”) up and running to do this. You know, they really may be stupid enough to try. Sigh...

Worry not - if UNPersons appeared in Texas, someone would ID them as the UNICEF folks who traded US provided food for sex acts with children.

After a state wide run on all stores selling arm length rubber gloves, the ‘Boys-N-Blue’ problem would be solved, quick and easy.

The USA is the richest country ever. Many groups are trying to take it over. Muslims and Communists are afraid of open revolt form the sheeple. Liberals support gun control to appease their New World Order group that sees the take over economically not by force.

When I was active we used to have this discussion once or twice a year. The only people I ever met on active duty who stated they would either shoot, or give orders to shoot, US citizens to confiscate their firearms are now flag officers.

The only large, political group of any cohesiveness that’s against your Second Amendment rights are the corporate-government globalists (AKA globetrotters, “one world” advocates, free traitors, all). They’re romantically favoring Third World people and dictatorships against Americans, and they donate to both political parties in the USA. They all want to be unopposed dictators. Most of the younger lefties now see firearms as being cool and in style, and many of them are becoming preppers to various extents.

If you want to make the difference, stop making unnecessary personal purchases to generate big revenues. Become more economically self-sufficient every month (energy use, food, repairs, services, etc.). Learn to manufacture a necessity as a hobby.
