The Internet was abuzz Saturday after it was reported that Rep. Anthony Weiner had apparently sent a lewd photo to a Seattle-area college student.
The New York Democrat quickly asserted that his online accounts had been "hacked" after Andrew Breitbart's BigGovernment.com reported that Weiner's Twitter account was used to send the photo, which shows the pelvic area of a man in gray undershorts with his tumescent penis bulging.
Late Friday night, a public message from Weiner's Twitter account (@RepWeiner) included a link to the penis photo, posted on the YFrog.com photo-sharing network. That message was directed to a Twitter account identified as belonging to 21-year-old Gennette Nicole Cordova, a student at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington.
Caches of Cordova's Twitter messages appeared to show that on April 9 she sent a message: "I wonder what my boyfriend @RepWeiner is up to right now." One of her friends on Twitter remarked the next day that Cordova's "crush" on the congressman was "cute." In one of his Twitter messages Friday announcing an appearance on the MSNBC cable network, Weiner made a joking reference to what time the show could be seen in Seattle.
Cordova's Twitter and Facebook accounts were deleted Saturday -- "Very odd," New York reporter Liz Benjamin remarked -- and the YFrog account that included the penis photo was also deleted. Media critic Lee Stranahan speculates on the motives for those deletions. While Weiner has made flippant references on Twitter to what was quickly dubbed "WeinerGate," he has made no explanation of how the "hacking" took place. Attempts to reach the congressman's press office were unsuccessful, blogger/talk-radio personality Peter Ingemi reported Saturday evening.

Okay, I’m officially old.
I started with old message boards and a low baud rate telephone modem. Pretty simple to use.
I looked at those Twitter postings from the link and I can’t make heads or tails on what that means. I can figure out the @ concept but the # concept? It all seems to just go around in circles.
And I know people like a congressmen or celebrities aren’t really using it - some staffer is doing the posting.
Agree, Weiner's staff is definitely the culprit.

Karl Marx converted out. I would not consider him Jewish and he wrote a book called “The Jewish Question”. As for the others on your list, they stink, especially Cohen and Schmuck Schumer, Weiner’s “soulmate”.
There is a person on the Post - I think it is a woman - whose job is to write the headlines. She deserves a raise.
But will he ever be penalized?

It was quite interesting surfing the web on Michelle. She just was not, nor is she now, willing to take others opinions about her style of dress. And unfortunately there are those designers who are perplexed on how to design her clothing as well.
My assessment is she does best in a suit....unfortunately she demands her own way and that will always lead to a writeup about her dress and lack of style.
Remember how frumpy she looked at the Mosque in that green pea outfit? There's an article which expressed her exquisite taste and how stunning she looked. I was floored...her expressions were far from that...and the outfit was appalling in every way and ill suited for a first lady visit. There are journalists who just refuse to see how terrible her choice of clothing is. And I doubt very much anyone in the public sector buys it.
Imagine a woman who anticipated taking the lead in Washington only to be flat-lined to growing a garden. Visiting children and entertaining them on the White house lawn. She didn't bargain for that..no way.
Now BO is in campaign mode I think we'll see her at the podium more often...but they are really going to monitor her speeches carefully. She remains too outspoken.

Someone hacked Weiner? Now, that can’t be a pretty picture!!!
Investigators were extremely deflated over the lack of any hard evidence.
And being given a plot -laden with sewage fertilizer compliments of the Clinton administration- to grow those organic vegetables in as well had to have hurt. Don’t forget how she held up traffic with all of her escorts, sniffer dogs, secret service and tv crews to go to the farmer’s market to get organic kale. Why didn’t she don those $400 sneakers to go pick some from her fake garden?
