Presidents poll numbers could use a boost among African Americans

When President Barack Obama was elected into office, the pride felt in the African-American community was indescribable. The nations first Black president could do no wrong. A savior had arrived. And while he won the presidential election in 2008 with the help of a collection of liberal whites and independents its safe to say it was Blacks who felt as if they were going to benefit the most.
Amazing how things change.
As Obama prepares to run for re-election, he faces a daunting task, as his poll numbers with African Americans seem to be slipping, which has some believing that the president could be a little concerned. Considering he has launched a website whitehouse.gov/africanamericans. It appears that the White House is putting forth a concerted effort to address the needs of African Americans ahead of the 2012 presidential election.
The president knows his base in Black America is shaky, Tavis Smiley recently said on his radio show. You cant play that history card more than one time.
**SNIP**
But Blacks arent the only group sniffing at Obama. Among Latinos, its worse. Obama typically averages an approval rating of 65 percent but, in March, Latino approval of Obama dipped to just 54 percent almost 10 points. The poll results were based on interviews with more than 15,000 Americans.
Im very critical of the way that this president seems to be borrowing from the George Bush playbook."

But the race card is wild.
So what’s different from the last time, when blacks united >90% behind him?
What does Smiley want now?
Since the employment rate for blacks is so high I can’t imagine them having any free time to campaign for the won.
The change went from 98.765% to 98.671% Such a slide in the "base" cannot be tolerated.
It’s racist to point that out.
Are we on a roll, or what?
Don’t forget to be on the watch for all the walking around money 0 will be handing out!
You touch on an important point, perhaps sarcastically.
Are conditions in the black community, in our ghettos, in inner city schools, the economies of cities dominated by minority groups better now that Obama is president?
Has Obama done anything which has specifically helped the black community, especially the poor black community?
But, carry this one step further. Are the bad conditions in so many black communities the result of racism, when we have a black president, a president under whom conditions have not markedly improved in any way?????
Are conditions in the cities so bad due to racism, when so many of these cities have black mayors, black city council members, black chiefs of police, black members of the board of education, etc.????????
Here we go...I call it Michael Jackson syndrome. Do anything you want.
Why do they capitalize ‘Black” and “Latino?”
An intelligence test would help with a lot of voters.
An eye test would help with some.
With liberal white voters it would take a sanity test.
“the black community, in our ghettos, in inner city schools, the economies of cities dominated by minority groups “
Those demographics, which include whites and various other races as well, believe in “hope”. They won’t get off their butts and make things happen. They sit and wait, hoping everyone else will give them something.
Gotta keep ‘em on the PLANTATION...
See what happens when the “Obama Cash” from The “Obama Stash” runs out. Can you say RIOTING?
Since his first day in office, President Obama has been working to secure the future prosperity of the African American Community through efforts such as increasing access to health care, creating jobs, revitalizing schools, and the development of targeted job creating investments in underserved communities. While much more needs to be done, we are making progress. This site is a tool for you to learn about how the Presidents Agenda is helping to win the future among African-American Communities.
"Win the future" = WTF. This is nothing but a pack of lies.
Trying to get the votes of the 207 blacks who didn’t vote for DEAR LEADER last time around.
He had raised their expectations so incredibly high with that bogus campaign of his. They thought by now they’d be getting free housing, free health care, free cable TV, and he’d be putting a tank of gas in their cars every week. They can’t help but be disappointed by the reality.
Yeah, well, they aren’t going anywhere else. Obama re-election committee wants to keep the numbers up as high as possible to make the 110% voter turnout in urban areas seem plausible.....
