That is a great analogy! That is exactly what I-Bama looked like. I bet the General made him promise to put the stool away after he used it! Again, this is what you get when you take a guy from the mail room and make him the CEO!

Yes, I know they were near the military academy...so they were worried that PAK army cadets would mount a counter-attack with sabers and fake rifles? I too pray that it is all a ruse, and OBL right is strapped to the water-boarding table, spilling his guts about all his operatives and planned ops.

Yesterday I read someplace that the police were going from door to door telling people to turn off their lights. Shortly afterwards the helicopters were heard. I think both countries worked together.
There are press pictures of the remains of the helicopter and military commentators are saying it’s a stealth helicopter from those pictures. “ =============
Stealth, meaning undetectable is its most unique feature, or additional specializations? Must be undetectable for radar, but noisy enough to hear on approach given the neighbors reaction and it wasn’t even on their roof, so to speak.
My complaint are at the implications that the Pakistanis’ retain any specialized components from the burn site. We would know what parts to be left destroyed utterly. Wouldn’t we?
The tail of the helo could have been blown over the wall from the explosion.
I saw the reports that the helicopter was blown up but I think they usually use thermite grenades to get rid of material they don’t want others to get. Thermite burns fiercely but doesn’t actually explode.
The people who could answer the questions best are either dead or will not be talking to the media.

Panetta was running the op so he could control what information was being forwarded to the Situation Room. If the team had hit the compound quietly, and confirmed no bin Laden, then they could have quietly exited. But once they had their man for sure, It was time to get out quick.
The tail rotor looked like it must have struck something. The Blackhawk is known for landing with its tail very low.
I'm thinking what the folks in the situation room were getting were the events of getting out of Dodge. Up until then, Panetta was keeping it quiet so as not to receive another order to kill the mission. Meaning the results on the ground were happening far in advance of information reaching the WH.
Even if they received an order to scrub the mission, I am thinking Panetta wanted to have had his mission accomplished, and then to blame the communications delay on the ground troops.

LoL. At age 26 I, knew I was bullet proof, (figuratively speaking) at 56, I still thought I was, today at 72, not so much.
The man who tweeted mentioned there was no power, he was using a generator a lot. I’m wondering if it’s a normal occurrence in Abbotabad to be without power or if this started happening a few months ago. The point was to condition the people so they would think that it’s just another power outage.

I'm sorry but the American people's attention span just isn't that long. If Obama intended to use the take down of bin Laden as a springboard to re-election, he completely blew it. Bin Laden is going to be very old news, come election time.
O is not planning to use killing OBL to get reelected. He is going to use the resulting conspiracy theories to portray the GOP as a bunch of loons. He will use folks like Trump to divide the conservative vote in the primaries. In short going to play the GOP ruthlessly to win reelection
