Obamaflation Arrives
the american spectator ^ | 4-26-11 | Jeffrey Lord

Posted on 04/26/2011 1:16:23 PM PDT by Mozilla

President Obama will not be re-elected. Period.

Why?

Obamaflation has arrived, and this is what it looks like.

Milk. A gallon of skim. At the local Giant in Central Pennsylvania:

January 11, 2011: $3.20 February 28, 2011: $3.24 March 6, 2011: $3.34 April 23. 2011: $3.48

That would be a 28 cent rise in a mere 102 days, from January to April of this year. The third year of the Obama misadventure.

Then there's the celery. Same sized bag. Same store.

January 11, 2011: $1.99 a bag. March 6, 2011: $2.49 a bag.

A rise of 50 cents in 54 days.

And the gas price during the administration filled with those who think "drill baby drill" is so yesterday? As one Internet photo had it, the numbers for regular, premium. and diesel were replaced with "LOL," "OMG," and "WTF!" Thus be it to governments who seem not to understand that energy is what makes the economic engine -- and your car -- hum.

What does this mean? It means Barack Obama is not going to be re-elected president of the United States. Period.

[snip]

You can get away with a lot of things as president and blame them on other people. For Obama its George Bush or now the oil companies or also now those evil corporations or… well… yada yada yada. But when average Americans begin to understand that Obamanomics is directly responsible for a 28 cent rise in the price of milk (with over a year and a half to go to the 2012 elections), there is going to be political hell to pay. And the buck, so to speak, stops, as it always does, with the president of the United States.

That’s what I’ve been saying...ANY Republican could beat this mental economic midget. Let’s just make sure we get a decent one.

Pennsylvania...quarts of half-and-half jumped from $2 to $2.50 overnight. I think half gals of reg milk are $2 now.
Reg gasoline is $3.86.

One problem. Compared to Obama voters, Obama is brilliant - really.

I disagree. If the republicrats run another loser against him in 2012, like they did with McCain in 2008, I think he will be re-elected (albeit by a MUCH smaller margin than in 2008).

I seriously would vote for John McCain over Obama in 2012 if he was the Republican nominee. And that is something I swore I would never, ever, in a million years, do again. They could dig up Reagan, prop him up and put him on the Independent ticket and I would still vote for the Republican. If they put up a cardboard cutout on the Republican ticket, I would vote for it over Obama.

Biflation - food and fuel are going through the roof, while real estate is going through the floor. This IS a change.

It's rather ironic, isn't it? The wild, out of control government spending Obama wanted necessitated the Fed's endless printing press to create the money out of thin air needed to keep interest rates artificially low, and that printing press has in turn led to the wild commodity and price inflation that will be his undoing.

That's what you call being hoist by your own petard. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Obama raised the taxes on Cigarettes I joined a lot of smart folks and now roll my own at $5 a carton. (Don't tell the SOB or he will raise the taxes on my filter tubes)

Obama raised the prices on everything...

Today the price of Coffee went up

Obama has to take NC to win. The DNC Convention is in Charlotte, NC. If the democratic witch Gov Purdue vetoes
the VOTER HAVING TO SHOW ID LAW like she says she will.
Obama may steal NC with Mexican’s legal or not. Moveon.org putting ads in the job less state for 9 bucks an hour to drive people to the polls and tell them who to vote for and ACORN.

It’s only going to get worse my friends. In Canada, prices are as high as $1.35 per litre. That’s $5.11 Cdn per US gallon. With the Cdn dollar currently at $1.05 US, it actually costs us about $5.37 US per US gallon. We’re explaining the same runaway inflation even though it is now cheaper for us to import many things from the US. When the American economy sneezes we get the flu.

I'm brewing my own beer now. It's fun, not too difficult, and you can make some outstanding lagers and ales for half what you pay for them at retail. Only problem is that it takes at least a month before you can drink the stuff!

I think so too. I’m filling up my oil tank and making sure I have enough wood for next winter. 5 or 6 cords will do it.

These people worldwide that think they are smarter than all with no common sense called progressives; all need to move to one place and gratify themselves in communism. I have had it!

Your national Heath Care is most likely much better than the mess called ObamaCare.
