DAYTON -- The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.
It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.
Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. rejected the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.
Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.
The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That's the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’....
The D.O.J. has forced other police departments across the country to lower testing standards, citing once again that not enough black candidates were passing.

What a racist. I thought quotas were unconstitutional anyway. Merit is the only thing that proves to work. Affirmative action destroys character, competition, self=worth, etc.
But that is Holders point....to destroy the military and the police force. Put a bunch of dumb goons in there like the homosexual SA Brownshirts who have no morality....and will easily kill off whoever the one wants them too. Lower standards so that the police force and the military will look like those corrupt forces of third world countries.
We know the evil that Holder is up to....and it is pure evil.
We need more dumbasses on our police forces. Anybody for surgery by a doctor who passed his/her medical exams with a “D” or “F”? How ‘bout riding on an airliner with a failed pilot?
States have the right to set their own standards. Tell the Federal government to quit being unconstitutional.

So screw the citizens and hire some morons that should not be dog catchers and give them guns and power just because of their skin color?

I cannot imagine a greater tool for the racist than to let essential services be destroyed in order to hire substandard applicants who are hired merely for their color.
Actions like this are what cause racism.
This should be mandatory in all 57 states.

1) Sort all applicants by race.
2) Take all the available blacks.

4.a) Yes-Hire some token white guys, but don't allow them to compete in the sergeant's test
It should be no surprise that Dayton city schools rank among the worst in the state, and the city spends more per student than in any school system in SW Ohio.
Fortunately I live in a suburb south of Dayton.
Dayton finally voted out their most recent black mayor (a very strange woman who did not seem to be all there) and replaced her with a white lib fellow of whom I have heard exactly nothing.
Sounds like the folks in Dayton have not improved their lot, or that of their children.

...”Black History Month” tells blacks they’re not good enough for general US history. They just need to embrace thier own. They don’t get it. “Kwanzaa” was invented to stifle the riots in Watts etc in the 60’s. Offered as a pacifier so they’d stop “acting up”.
