News Crew Attacked At Natomas Murder Scene SACRAMENTO
(CBS13) Grieving family and friends attacked a reporter and photojournalist from a Sacramento news station Sunday as they covered the aftermath of a deadly shooting in north Natomas.
KTXL reporter John Lobertini and photojournalist Rebecca Little were attacked at an IHOP restaurant on the 2900 block of Advantage Way by a number of bystanders who had gathered at the site of the murder.
Video captured by CBS13 news crew a short distance away shows several people shouting profanities at the news crew at about 4:00 p.m. as a growing crowd began pushing and shoving the two victims. One woman pulled the photojournalist to the ground and other women kicked her. The reporter also appeared to be repeatedly struck in the face.
Neither victim appeared to suffer serious injuries in the incident.
Police are reviewing footage from the news stations who witnessed the incident in an attempt to identify suspects. No arrests have been made.

Investigators have not released the identity of the victim, but family and friends identified him as 27-year-old Chester Jackson.
Authorities are looking for two suspects, described as black male adults in their 20s, about 58 to 510 tall.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact Crime Alert by calling (916) 443-HELP or texting the tip to 274637 with SACTIP at the beginning of the message. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Amish?
Get ready Americans: Here comes CW2.
The lines have been drawn by 60 years of liberalism. When is the Ft. Sumter moment?
Glad to see that the CBS crew ran to their aid rather the film the beating. Brother and sister journalists and all that.
One word comes to mind: animals.
Doubt that this issue is the match though. They shoved a camera into some poor hapless fools face while they attempted a public display of mourning. The threads last week were about Lara Logan and CBS new’s foolishness but now since some American proles lashed out at some vampires looking for ratings the tables have turned.
You and I might get along (check out my tagline)....however my vitrol of journalists is usually limited to political hacks at the MSM, not local yokels doing their job.
When the guns started at Ft Sumter (which by the way is a great tourist spot, so visit if you get the chance!), the battle lines complete with troops and guns were already in place.
Besides, who needs Edwin Ruffin, when you have Glenn Beck!!! LOL (a little humor) My personal theory is that, it will not be the conservatives trying to leave, but libtards forcing violence on the body politic either as part of the Federal government or outside of it after we spank them at the ballot box in 2012. The Rinos will go down in history well as the Great Compromisers did...they will call for restraint, while the libtards will take off their masks and openly use terror and violence. Those republicans that do not wish to end up as Whigs will have to make a hard choice: DEATH or SURRENDER... We on the other hand will be up on the barricades sending covering fire!!
These “photojournalists” had no respect for the mourners and intruded on their grief like vultures on a dead carcass.
They deserve everything they got.
New trend? Phelps?
I would love to see the Phelpses get beat up like this at some Marine’s funeral.
Unfortunately, the authorities keep them well-protected.
Agreed.
I would imagine the term “Get that MF’n camera/microphone out of my face” was said many times.
How does the ‘reporters/photographers’ right to news(?) have more stand than my right to grieve.
If asked to leave and they don’t they are just fueling a ‘bad situation’.
We all know our ‘thoughts’ in regards to Phelps etal so where is the difference?
They couldn’t just ask the news crew not to videotape them, could they... Someone should tell the “mourners” it’s really OK not to go feral.
People are being openly attacked in broad daylight in our inner cities, with no consequences. As soon as the residents of our inner cities realize that they can do as they please, without consequences, the game is on.
