General David Petraeus, the most celebrated American soldier of his generation, is to leave his post as commander of US and Nato forces in Afghanistan. The Times can reveal that the Pentagon aims to replace General Petraeus, who was appointed less than eight months ago, by the end of the year

Neither of the men fell under Petraeus. They might have, had they deployed as ordered. But they didn't at the time they committed their infractions. So given that, what would you have had Petraeus do?
FACT: General Patraeus abandoned his responsibility to our nation's troops to assure that they were serving under a legitimately eligible Commander in Chief! That is **this** man's CHARACTER.
It is looking like the last man to leave Vietnam to me. Dangerous, forgotten and futile.
Yep, I agree.
Not just Mullen but Gates too. I knew he was a company man as soon as his name came up.
Personally,...If for some unusual reason I should come into the company of any of our upper military, I will turn my back. I will not speak to them. I will leave. I will shun them.
I encourage other patriots and defenders of Article II, Section I, to do the same.
Re: Upper Military
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Please make that “highest” military. These are the guys that abandoned the troops under their command.
The men and women in our military deserve better than to be serving under a very likely usurper and the toadies who have said and done nothing about it.
Not the information I have read. Not sure what source you are citing.
Our troops aren't allowed to "offend" the enemy in any way. There's no way we can win a politically correct war. Political correctness sees the enemy as the "victim."
Wow! Such a mature and thoughtful response! Such intellectual depth! /s
Like for like. Your thoughts on this issue are stupid.
And the Dems do everything in their power to ensure that the votes of American servicemen overseas don't count.
Out of curiousity, General Pershing...would you vote for Petreaus if he turns out to be a Democrat???
There’s banter back oand forth on this thread that Gen’l Petreaus is a RINO, or a Dem, or voted for Obama, or whatever. Personally, that’s the first I’ve heard of any of that.
It poses a problem for me voting for him, for sure, if this is true. While I applaud his military service to the country and hold him in pretty high regard, the Dems policy positions are, to say the least, NOT in the best American interests... So if true, what does that say about his judgement in aligning himself with the Party that’s doing eveything possible to wreck the country and turn us into a socialist sh*thole?? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to read the communist party platform and compare it to the democrat platform and do a quick comparison...and come up seeing them both pointing in the same direction...
Anybody else care to comment? It would seem to be an important point to consider if he does run.
And for the record, I’m not calling him a “traitor” or anything like that - I don’t know the man, I don’t know his heart, and all I know of him is as a good general officer that cares about his troops, doing his duty as he sees fit, for a clueless, seditious “commander” in chief who hates the country.
Yep. Any exposure to the West would get you a minimum of a five or tenner.
Poor bastards.
Good point.
The only way he can spill the beans about 0 is to resign from the service.
THAT was not the issue.
Stalin told all his troops they were not to surrender, or he would kill them when they came back.
the Germans had Stalin’s son captured and wanted to make a prisoner swap and Stalin said, “no. He never should have allowed himself to be captured!”
General Petraeus visited troops recently and was briefed in Eastern Afghanistan while visiting FOBs and COPs where our soldiers are winning the hearts and minds of Afghans and exterminating the Taliban. My son met him personally and says General P is amazing. I believe him. He indeed would be a Commander in Chief to be proud of. What a glorius day for America to have a leader with such integrity and honor leading our country. He is also well-educated in economics. Of course, the media will try to tear him apart if he puts his name in, but he rises above politics and teleprompters.
Yup. Also remember that senior military officers who run for high office tend to have already been vetted by the Council on Foreign Relations for their pro globalist viewpoint. He'd be a NWO poster child and fully invested in anti-Freedom legislation like the UN Gun Bans. Being a good military commander in no way presumes a POTUS for the people. Quite the reverse.
