I don't want to call this illogical or paranoid, but ...
Do either of you really think that that the most effective political "trapping" strategy would be to place an ad on a website open to the general public and hope that out of the thousands of readers and hundreds of respondents one of them might be a CONGRESSMAN?
(Who is also a Republican ... and married ... and willing to send an identifiable picture from an identifiable email address.)
The guy entrapped himself.
This guy sent a shirtless photo response to a personal ad? The horror! The guy's a class-A jerk and will be held to account but this sort of overreaction plays right into Dem's hands. I don't know if he is a genius for getting now, avoiding a distraction for the House, or a fool for making it the standard.
I'm sure his district is flush with funds for a special election in this economy. (/sarcasm) Better hope like hell his seat doesn't flip in retribution.
Barny Frank is still there because he is an honest queer. This guy is a hypocritical “family man”. I have often thought that Edwards ruined his presidential chances because he didn’t quite feel he could do the job and was being pushed by his wife to run. Perhaps this guy felt over his head in the job or something like that. Does anyone know who his likely replacement may be, or the politics of a replacement election in his district??
America is very forgiving, except for cases of hypocrisy. That’s why a story about energy usage by a Republican is not news, but Algore’s is.
So, again, why go to Craigslist and pretend to be a lobbyist?
rats do not resign from scandals - - they leave office involuntarily only when they are indicted, and even then, not always. It takes a sense of shame to resign the way Lee did. Democrats, by nature, do not have any shame. Look at that nut, former Congressman Grayson from Florida. Perfect case in point.
