Hopefully the SS will make this whole exercise moot.
Hopefully the Supremes will make this whole exercise moot.
(SS? I had Obama on the brain for a second)
Ping.
When this bill goes to committee, to be reconciled with the House version of the repeal, can’t it be deemed (ala Pelosi) to cover the whole Obamacare and send that to Barry?
Wow. This actually impresses me...and I’m not easily impressed! Granted, it won’t pass, but still...
...our GOP-ers are b@lls to the wall? Who knew they had it in them?
Again. Wow. Just, Wow! :)
If that happens, Cairo will loook like a cakewalk.
The 17th amendment was another step towards removing the federalism the Founders envisioned. It increased the democratic aspect of the Senate and took away its role as a representative of States. But neither it nor the 19th amendment will ever be repealed and the latter is socialism’s greatest friend.
Obamacare is an invalid law and the states at this time are not required to apply it. THIS LAW IS NOT VALID ERGO NOT ENFORCEABLE....
The US Senate as always demonstrating their worthlessness.
I have seen this posted in other threads, perhaps by yourself. If you are right then the Obama Administration has an obvious course to follow: Do nothing. Don't appeal to 11th Circuit Court. Don't force a Supreme Court decision. That will leave Obamacare invalid in whatever Florida Disctrict that this ruling applies to and fully in force everywhere else.
Trust me, this is not the common view of the case. Are you sure you are right?
They did not void ObamaCare. The dems all voted to KEEP ObamaCare but just take out the $600 1099 part.
The IRS will still be given more power the government can look at your bank accounts to make sure you can’t afford it,you will still go to jail and be fined if you don’t have ObamaCare it is all the same big mess they will bankrupt like social security if we let them do this fraud.
The Founders specifically wanted Imperial Senators appointed by the States so the States would have a say in what happens to them. If there was no 17th Amendment, we would not have garbage like Medicaid driving the States into bankruptcy.
How do you figure that, exactly ? That is certainly not what the Founders wanted. Who was President then ? Woodrow Wilson, America’s first dictator.
Wouldn’t this require too much transparency in the dimwads business also?
Oh, I get it. The dimwads that vote/ donate to 0 can get waivers.
I personally don’t care if they pull a little piece out here or there... it won’t change the FACT that I refuse to abide by ANY of it ... I won’t Buy 0bamcare, I WILL NOT pay the Fine and I will not waste time or resources on any 1099’s or any other kind of required reports docs or behavior ...
The will have to Arrest me, Incarcerate me and even if released I WILL NOT EVER SUBMIT.
I don’t give a Rat’s A$$ what Party Votes which way... I stand by My Oath and I will not bend.
TT
When this is decided by the SCOTUS, it will be a pivotable moment in us history.
many of us who have a grasp on reality and know history understand the struggle that freedom has required. Slowly but surely we have lost the meaning of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The individual rights that was the basis of this nation have eroded.
if the SCOTUS upholds this law, it will mean that what we’ve dreaded has come to pass. The Constitutional Republic is gone.
I think the shock will be heard around the world.
What happened to bipartisanship? Eh???
The 1099 provision was a throw away. It was included to have something to take out and talk about.
Not to mention that it was unenforceable and subject to severe fraud. I made a mental list of people for whom I might increase their taxable income
Very well-put. The voters are more unpredictable and harder to control than state legislators.
Every Dem who voted against the repeal of Obamacare also violated their oath of office to support and defend the Constitution. They are so drunk with the power that they wield that they will let nothing stand in their way, whether it be the Constitution or the will of the people. Words can’t express the contempt I have for every one of them.
