WASHINGTON -- Two years after running against President Barack Obama, Senator John McCain says he sees a change.
Appearing on CBS' "Face the Nation," McCain expressed optimism that Obama will lead Democrats and Republicans to find common ground on key issues.

Asked if the push to repeal health care reform is a waste of time -- because Senate Democrats will block repeal and, should it pass, the president would veto it -- McCain said, "We need to have a vote on it because we promised the people we would. We campaigned that we would `repeal and replace'. We have to have a vote on repeal, so that everybody's on record whether they want to repeal. Then, I think, piece by piece, we go through -- quote -- replacing."
McCain said he believes that, this time around, Democrats are more willing to negotiate on specifics of the health care program.

At Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday, McCain plans to sit with Sen. Tom Udall, a Democrat from New Mexico.
The Arizona Republican said he thinks having Democrats and Republicans sit together instead of dividing by parties is "a good idea."

Q:
What do you call the combination of Anethum graveolens and a female deer?
A:
John McCain
For some time I have felt that mclame was tortured too much in Viet Nam. He needs to resign and go drink his rich wife’s beer. He is an embarrassment to America.
Obama has changed?
Change? Where Have I heard that?
I get so sick of hearing BS from the same politicians year in year out....I swear, they must see private sector America as bunch of freaking dummies....Of course, Obama is the president...
McCain is a marxist folks lets face it.
There is no such thing as a “centrist”.
You either believe in the Constitution and small government or you don’t.
mccain hasn’t held back since DADT expired...
McCain, Brown, Snow, Susan Collins, and the rest of the Gang of Rinos, maybe the GOP has just reached the end of entropy like the WHIGS. Like Jack La Lane. Maybe they just have a perverse hatred for themselves and their Republican base. Well they have just about impressed upon me the futility of voting Republican.
vaudine
he is everything what is wrong with our side.
Why is it that those who seem to be elected and have ivy league educations are just plain naive or dumb?
It strikes me that to do what McCain claims Obama has done, wouldn’t that mean that Obama has no core principles?
The lens louse strikes again.
Didn’t take him long to dump that nasty conservative mask.
Oh of course....goes without saying all due respect for serving and suffering etc .... BUT ! That is not a license to destroy your country or it’s infrastructure.
Time for him to RETIRE as he isn’t worth a damn as a polidiot !!
Stay safe !
Well, that didn’t take long at all now, did it?
(It actually took him several weeks longer to turn traitor and backstabber than I thought it would. He must be getting old...)
I hate this guy almost as much as Obama, Nancy, and Reid. All have led our country over the cliff and deserve equal scorn.
“McCain said he believes that, this time around, Democrats are more willing to negotiate on specifics of the health care program.”
Democrats willing to negotiate is like saying McPain is a sane Republican politician. It’s pure fantasy.
Since when are we tossing our principles on the HealthCare matter, and negotiating by line item? Abolish the damned thing.
Juan McLame is deluded if he believes the liberals want to work with Conservatives.
