The darnedest thing just happened on TV. Still happening. Obama takes Clinton to the White House press briefing room. Turns the podium over to Clinton, and leaves the room. If you didn't have the sound on your TV, it looked like Obama resigned and handed over to Clinton. Clinton still talking, setting up dueling filibuster with Bernie Sanders. Clinton at that podium is bad deja vu.
The Daily Kos Moonbats are going nutz over this. HEre’s one comment I liked!
I can laugh and cry. As bad as Jimmy was, I don’t think he ever turned over the podium to an ex-President did he?
This puts me in the mood to watch Back to the Future.
And as BunnySlippers just posed after you (post #142), he CHANGED his photo AGAIN (was not the same photo with my post of his new headline; lol; lol
This is what W meant when he said ‘this cat can’t handle this job.’
That's OK -- Sinatra's birthday's in two days. Even if he's dead, he deserves a present.
No, for real!
One day I said “president obama” and my daughter commented that it’s the first time she’d ever heard me say “president” and “obama” in the same sentence!
I guess I just slipped up in my old age.
In any case, this lends more evidence to what I have thought for a long time. They keep commenting on the supposed fact that Obama is bored with being president. And my response has been that, yes, he’s bored, because he isn’t president. He is a place-holder, a cardboard cutout.
He goes from speech to vacation to another speech, but I never hear any real detail in his speeches, its all platitudes which makes me think that the laws he promotes and defends, the ones congress passes unread, he hasn’t read them either. He’s playing a role. He was recruited from the same alphabet soup of activist groups that produced all of his czars and all of his staff and wrote all of his legislation. He is an extra who wound up with a speaking role.
He is not in charge.
Did W say this? when? and in what context? Interesting...
I love it! Its like the good ole days!
I understand he also took questions on Haiti and triangulation.
Sounds like Obama is gone.
In some ways, despite showing his gray hair and age, I thought Clinton looked like he was taking better care of his health, he wasn’t all red faced and puffy as he was in 2001-2006. He looked like someone very worried about his health who has spent a year eating and exercising more.
Early on as Obama was introducing Clinton he made a point of saying that Clinton’s remarks may be very brief to the press, either giving Billy a way out of the presses clutches or setting the stage the way he wanted — I wasn’t sure. But then as Clinton tried to give full answers and apprear genuine and thoughtful, Obama almost seemed tired of the whole thing running on with the press and seemed to grab at an excuse.
Walking out seemed like he couldn’t be bothered. It was surreal. But of course Clinton then put on his old persona and just kept talking and talking.
Wierd-wierd-wierd
That from X42 who was notoriously late? What does that tell you.
This is one of those rare times when I cannot wait for the Limbaugh show Monday, to hear how Rush poses this astonishing display of fecklessness by Barry the Bastard. Even the way the presstitutes posed their questions changed when the man-child left the podium and the more professional liar took over.
All I can think is “Merry Christmas?!!!”.
I cannot wait to see my friends faces when the learn of Clinton’s reassumption of the throne.
Too Funny!!! LOL
"This is hugh, and series."
"Yup, that's Michelle's arse."
I cannot STRESS enough how evident that was during this entire spectacle- and spectacle it was.
You are not going to believe the enitre "event"..it was vintage Clinton, selling, teaching, breaking down the complex into smart soundbites.
The body language was fascinating- Clinton was The President; Obama was the president.
Bill just wanted to show Obongo that it really is possible to speak for 30 minutes without a teleprompter.
oh, yeah, like all the respect and civility and decency you Demagogues showed to President George W. Bush??
Do you mean that kind of respect and decency and civility, Oprah???
