No Jobs for U.S. workers declares Bill Johnson, CEO at Heinz, on Wall Street Journal Report last Saturday
Last Saturday, the CEO of Heinz, best known for ketchup production, told Maria Bartiromo that Heinz will not be hiring Americans this year.
The reason he gave was the uncertainty produced by the inability of the government to decide on really important things such as the tax rate his business will pay. He announced at the same time on the same program that Heinz will be opening facilities and hiring in other countries, and concentrated on China where they make soy sauce.

Somebody give me the brand of a good-tasting tomato catsup that isn't regional and I'll throw my half-used Heinz bottle into the fiery furnace.

Maybe John Kerry can pay his taxes. Buy Hunts brand catsup or the Aldi brand at Aldi or Trader Joe’s brand. Aldi and Trader Joe’s is a German company owned by a Catholic family that is not pro-abortion like Heinz.
I stopped buying Heinz Ketchup, and avoiding anything associated with it since John Kerry’s failed campaign in 2004.
“concentrated on China where they make soy sauce.”
Heinz soy sauce? Yuck! I’ll stick with my Pearl River Bridge mushroom-flavored soy sauce thankyou! Or Happy Boy.
How about No Americans Buy any Heinz Products! Boycott them out of business—let the Chinese who make their stuff buy them and see how much profits they get—Or better yet—Place a tariff upon all Heinz products. If they don’t want to hire Americans—they should pay a price.
We all must make sacrifices. Is it really asking too much? lol!
Next your gonna tell me I can't go to Heinz Field to see my Steelers.
My nephew works there in the Burgh and they say they treat their employees well.
Besides, there is no other ketchup.
Here’s their other product names:
Heinz
Boston Market
TGI Fridays
Classico Pasta Sauce
Lea and Perrins sauce
Ore Ida
Quality Chef
DeliMex
Pudliszki
ABC soy sauce
Honig
Wattie’s
Plasmon (Italy baby food)

Yeah, well f*** you too, Bill.
No one should do anything about this company because of anything having to do with John Kerry or his wife. Mrs. Kerry sold her shares years ago. You can see who the major shareholders are here. No one owns as much as 5% of the stock, and Mrs. Kerry does not even appear on the list of major shareholders, nor do her foundations and trusts. You've got 5,000 people packing tomatoes and pickles in factories, and people here would have you get them all laid off because a long time ago Mrs. Kerry used to be Mrs. Heinz. Please... stop the madness. |
We should start charging corporations for the costs of defending their interests worldwide, seeing as that’s where they’re moving the jobs. If they don’t want that defense, they’re free to let China or wherever the else they ALL want to move to take care of it.
Trader Joes = Aldi. They are owned by the same Germany company.
I quit using Heinz products when kerry ran for President.
Hunts is just fine for me.
where did it say they are moving jobs?
Correction “German Company”.
Did you somehow miss all the whining so many of the boycotted companies made a few years ago? Every dime they don’t make off of me is one less dime they have to destroy America. But, go ahead, support the enemy. Put money into Tides. If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
I have to agree with him. No business is going to hire with these idiots in Washington.
Chinese ketchup: now with more mercury oxide for that extra bright color!
Bump.
