Yes. The Albrecht family. The mom started Aldi after the war and had two young sons. One died recently. They are so good and their prices are so cheap that Wal Mart through their hands up and left Germany (true).
There are two independent Aldi’s - a split in the company years back. The logos are slightly different. Only one is tied with Trader Joes.
