Considering that this guy is a US citizen, I think that a charge of treason and a sentence of death would be most appropriate.
Mega kudos to the FBI for thwarting the horrendous plan.
Muslims should not be allowed to come into this country neither as permanant residents nor as tourists/visitors. We don’t need them and their evil “religion.”

“During this meeting, Mohamud explained how he had been thinking of committing some form of violent jihad since the age of 15,” the affidavit says. “Mohamud then told (the FBI operatives) that he had identified a potential target for a bomb: the Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square on Nov. 26, 2010.”
The FBI operatives cautioned Mohamud several times about the seriousness of his plan, noting that there would be many people, including children, at the event, and that Mohamud could abandon his plans at any time with no shame.
“You know there’s going to be a lot of children there?” an FBI operative asked Mohamud. “You know there are gonna be a lot of children there?”
Mohamud allegedly responded he was looking for a “huge mass that will ... be attacked in their own element with their families celebrating the holidays.”
Mohamud dismissed concerns about law enforcement, explaining that, “ ... It’s in Oregon; and Oregon, like, you know, nobody ever thinks about,” according to the affidavit.
“The threat was very real,” said Oregon’s FBI Special Agent in Charge Arthur Balizan. “Our investigation shows that Mohamud was absolutely committed to carrying out an attack on a very grand scale. At the same time, I want to reassure the people of this community that, every turn, we denied him the ability to actually carry out the attack.”
Just the fact that they got him a perfect parking space in Portland without him catching on he was being set up was astonishing.
I suppose his age was what gave them the ability to scam him.
LCounty is where we live and it butts up against Corvallis.
Corvallis is where OBama’s brother in law is the Beavers BBall coach.
If the 19yr old wanna be terrorist was thinking he would have targeted the Civil War game coming up next week end.
It is at Reesers Stadium in Corvallis this year and it is a huge statewide event for Oregon.
Our family are not sports fans but we even get into the Civil War game show day.

SNIPPET: “A federal judge today denied terrorism suspect Mohamed Mohamud’s defense team its request to learn the true identity of a government informant identified as “Bill Smith.””
SNIPPET: “His opinion notes that the government had established a “solid and compelling interest in not disclosing Bill Smith’s true identity. If an appeal becomes necessary, the 9th Circuit can review the sealed transcript.”
“(Smith’s) identity is neither relevant nor helpful to the defense and is not essential to a fair trial,” the judge wrote. “The emails speak for themselves. ... I do not expect the government to produce any additional discovery concerning Bill Smith.””

But in court papers, prosecutors counter that Mohamud used these terms himself in meetings with undercover agents and that they show his motivation, which they say stems from an ideology that encourages violent jihad.
The defense similarly sought to exclude evidence about the defendant’s contacts with Amr Al-Ali, listed by the Saudi government as one of its top “47 most wanted terrorists linked to al-Qaida.” It similarly wants Mahmoud’s email communications with Samir Khan, an al-Qaida terrorist killed in the drone strike that also killed terrorist mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki, excluded from the trial, along with Mohamud’s published writings in Khan’s online jihadist magazine Jihad Recollections from consideration.”
