I met a Native American school teacher in Oklahoma last month, and we had a fascinating discussion about religion. He told me that many Native Americans are abandoning Christianity, and are turning to the religions of their ancestors. In fact, Native American religions have become quite fashionable among many whites in the New Age movement.
He also noted that many Indians consider white Christians to be worse than Muslims. He feels that American Indians were treated much worse, than Muslim nations have historically treated their Dhimmi minorities. He was angered by the fact that the US government had historically forced Indian Children to attend Christian boarding schools, where, he claims, they were taught to hate their culture and accept the white man's religion.
According to him, the historical mistreatment of American Indians proves to him that Christianity is a false religion. He sarcastically added that, if the past treatment of Indians in America is an example of "Christian love", it terrifies him to think of what white Christians would have done to the Indians, if they were motivated by "Christian hate". What can white Christians do, to bring an end to this anger and bitterness, that many American Indians seem to harbor?
The Huron Tribe (for which Lake Huron was name) were partially converted by the French Jesuit "North American Martyrs." Unfortunately, this tribe was almost complete wiped out by a genocidal campaign of the Iroquois.
It might not be that it was an Indian that was commenting; maybe it was because it was a “teacher.”
American Natives were primitive. The only “technology” they possessed were bows and arrows, flint axes and flint knives. Had they been a more evolved society they would have become a nation instead a continent of a thousand bickering and competitive tribes. As a nation they could have kicked our collective “pale face” @sses back to Europe.

I believe it was around 1825 when then Navajo attacked the settled Hopi pueblos and around four hundred Hopis were killed in this raid. They also hit the Hopis bout 1835.

There is a historical record of the Iroquois rading as far west as Nebraska where they attacked a Pawnee tribe.
Don’t make them move, just quit going to their casinos and gift shops and anything else owned by an indian.
If they think I’m worse for them than a muslim, let them live on the money they make from muslims.

Indian "culture" and religion do not exist. What there was died quickly when it came into contact with Western Civilization, and was completely eliminated 100+ years ago. What people think Indian History, Culture, Religion is, is simply a modern invention. It is a story being interpreted and told to them by someone else.
20 years ago I was traveling on vacation in the MT, ID, ND areas and saw some pretty nice government housing on reservations close to public roads. Of course the yards were full of junk, but the structures looked good and could have looked beautiful if the renters had taken care of the properties. They were two floor buildings and one story garden apartments. I was told by a local that the Indians had ripped out the flooring on the ground units so as to keep animals.
The reality is, they don't realize they hate white democRATs.
There's a lot of differences between tribes, just as there's differences between English and Irish.
The Christianity of the frontiersmen and settlers may not have been perfect, but without it, those natives would have been exterminated wherever they were found and the rest driven into the sea.
I was told by a theology ptofessor that “People of the book” refers specifically to Catholics and no one else.The Koran tells them to hunt and kill Jews not to protect them and muslims do not recogize any religion that came after their’s like Protestism did.
All I know, is that if an Irish immigrant from the 1800’s came ot America and was offered what all immigrants get today,

Actually. if the Irish, Jewish & Italian immigrants had what is offered today, they’d be stuck in ghettoes just like the blacks in America.
Why work when the government takes care of your food, shelter & well being from birth to grave.
In the 1800s you either found work or lived on the street & starved.

The term "People of the Book" in the Qur'an refers to followers of monotheistic Abrahamic religions that are older than Islam. This includes all Christians, all Jews (including Karaites and Samaritans), and Sabians.
