DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Former President George W. Bush will be in Ohio to speak at a Veterans Day tribute.
Bush will be at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton on Nov. 11. The event comes as he promotes the release of his memoir, "Decision Points."
The museum will offer free tickets Monday and opportunities to pre-purchase autographed copies of the book.
Ohio provided the decisive electoral votes for the Republican president's 2004 re-election.
I’m there!
It depends on when my wife gives birth if I’ll be there...
Congrats, TSgt! Best wishes!
God bless GW!
Thanks!
Bush is one of the most under rated Presidents. He is rare, having dignity and principals.
I wish I could go. I’d like to see Bush again and I love the WPAFB museum. Make sure to go to the hangers on the other side where all the old presidential planes are parked: where the X15, Blue, XB70 and others are parked! Hands down one of the best aerospace museums in the world.
I’m there as well!
Congrats on your impending fatherhood — here’s hoping your wife enjoys a short, (relatively) pain-free delivery!
“He is rare, having dignity and principals.”
I agree, and principles, too! But you have to admit, with Obama following him, Daffy Duck would look like Honest Abe.
Based on what I've seen in the past and to this day MANY FReepers would turn out to boo him.
I’ll come if the Wright Patt guards let me see the alien bodies.
This would be fun. Don’t know if I can get free. Will try.
I’m interested.
I live in Columbus and I’m off from work that week. I’ll think about it. Thanks for the heads up.
That is one AWESOME museum...(I hit it every time I go to Oshkosh...:)
I’m there too! well actually about three miles away right now, but I would not miss this for the world!
However, even with that, this picture says all there is to say about GWB...
For all his political faults we find with him, there is no denying this man felt a connection and a responsibility to his country its citizens.
Re #17:
I totally agree with your sentiment. GWB had his failings, he certainly didn’t know how to use a veto pen. But regardless of bipartisan fiscal failings he was and is at his core a very good man who deeply loves his country. This is why I’m often blown away by the vitriol thrown his way here on FR.
I AM VERY INTERESTED!! Let’s get a group together of FReepers and attend!
