NPR has terminated its contract with Juan Williams, one of its senior news analysts, after he made comments about Muslims on the Fox News Channel. NPR said in a statement that it gave Mr. Williams notice of his termination on Wednesday night. The move came after Mr. Williams, who is also a Fox News political analyst, appeared on the The OReilly Factor on Monday. On the show, the host, Bill OReilly, asked him to respond to the notion that the United States was facing a Muslim dilemma. Mr. OReilly said, The cold truth is that in the world today jihad, aided and abetted by some Muslim nations, is the biggest threat on the planet.
Mr. Williams said he concurred with Mr. OReilly.
He continued: I mean, look, Bill, Im not a bigot. You know the kind of books Ive written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.
Mr. Williams also made reference to the Pakistani immigrant who pleaded guilty this month to trying to plant a car bomb in Times Square. He said the war with Muslims, Americas war is just beginning, first drop of blood. I dont think theres any way to get away from these facts, Mr. Williams said.
NPR said in its statement that the remarks were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.
The public radio organization said it thanked him for many years of service. Mr. Williams did not immediately respond on Wednesday night to an e-mail seeking comment...

Ha. Two places that should be investigated and shut down. At least CAIR should be and NPR should be cut from the government dole.
I hope he lays into them, but I have a feeling he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to.

This is hideous.
Very creepy for a public station taking tax dollars. They are being used as a political tool and now a means to squash free speech.
Excellent e-mail!
Juan is between a rock and a hard place.
If he doesn't forcefully stand up for himself, everyone will know he's a wimp who will stay on the Leftist plantation voluntarily.
If he does forcefully stand up for himself, he will be blackballed completely by the left, and like the good little communists they are, they will "erase" Juan from history.
To take the second option, he would have to decide to become a Conservative, but after watching Juan for many years, I don't think he will willingly give up those Leftist cocktail party invitations.
And I love this:
"But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
Nervous about what? The potential targets are easily identified! Man, people are so easily intimidated by hajis, it's pathetic.
Both are pro-terror orgs.
The overall problem here is that muslims are treated as if they are just like Methodists, Catholics,Protestants,Jews, etc. but...they aren’t.
Truth is islam is and always has been more of a cult than a religion and until its viewed that way there will always be problems trying to be pc with these clowns.
Hope all refuse to contribute to their next fund raiser..As Soros proved money talks.
He wasn't even on their network when he voiced his opinion.

Comments on: NPR Ends Williams' Contract After Muslim Remarks
O’ Really on FOX at the top of the hour to discuss the issue/Juan.
Obviously I don’t agree with Juan Williams on most political issues. But I do appreciate how he frames his arguments, foregoing personal attacks, not screaming over any other voice offering an opposing viewpoint.
There seems to be a link between Soro’s financing over a hundred ‘new’ reporters for NPR and Williams termination.
Like a mother to a son — you know you're over the target if you're picking up flack. Take up your cross, Juanito, and follow the truth, the way, the light.
Oh I've been here. Diatribes may be getting longer but I think most folks are at the cracking point to do something. When the dhimmiPCrats start eating and firing thier own you know we're not just winning but they've fired so many volleys and shots at us I fear one nut case on the right, one conservative blowing it and whamo Obama establishes martial laww and pulls a Chavez and takes over all the stations.
We need to work hard, vote these scum out of office and give them a bit of Peolosi's medicine,
1) Don't let them read their death warant before they sign it
2) let them get those food stamps and welfare...quickest way to a job
as stated, vote ll of them out
40 Get more people heckling the pres and calling him a liar, a d###ed liar
Re institute the CONSTITUTION!
Some how reverse those danged judges all the way to the suopreme court that even mention muslims are moderate, sharia law, ...ad nauseam
Start fightinmg back; for every juan William's fired, fire Joy Behart's boycott or just burn that idiot Garfolo's movies, and do not ever give an inch. These folks are drawing lines in the sand, well screw their PC madness, and stuff thier new history progressive BS books Oh so many points to say, so little time to say all of it,'THEY ALL RACISTS!"
Poor SOB strays just a little from the party line and he will end up exiled in the political ghetto with Dick Morris, Bernard Goldberg and others who dared to be heretics to some small codicil of the liberal religion.
Juan Williams also has more backbone than any other news person in the industry.
Meanwhile an Islamist professor (with tenure) from Pennsylvania goes to an anti-Israel rally, makes antisemitic statements calling them devils and issues holocaust denials (saying there is not one piece of evidence) and he keeps his job.
WTF?
