In the spirit of understanding and outreach, Rauf could have taken Paterson up on his offer and the whole controversy would have been diffused. Rauf would have gained my respect for taking that route.

Instead, Rauf rejected it outright, without even discussing this with Paterson, making even Paterson wonder, “how much more foresighted would it have been if the imam who is the developer of the project had been willing to hear what we are actually talking about?”

At least things are out in the open now, unless you’re a Ground Zero Mosque supporter and apologist. As many of us had a hunch, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is intent upon building this Mosque as a symbol, a monument to radical Islam’s greatest victory over Western Civilization. Rauf could have diffused the situation, but instead he’s inflaming it!

Of course they rejected it.

The muslims would rather cross the bridge to Manhattan into the busiest business office real estate section in the world, through New York traffic, past many existing mosques in residential areas, to dance on our graves.

Perhaps in a gesture of inclusion, tolerance, and embracing diversity we could fly an unmanned aerial vehicle loaded with jet fuel and explosives into the mosque once construction is complete.

Food for thought ....
A church is a tax exempt entity.

That’s why churches are typically NOT in commercially zoned areas, the city is unable to collect sales or property tax on a church; so if the church is allowed to build in a highly desired commercial district, tax revenue is adversely affected.

So, we not only have leadership that granted ‘special’ rights to Muslims to commit this insult; they have intentionally foregone collecting tax revenues for the building that the Mosque will reside in.

This is why you don’t see Catholic Churches, Jewish or Mormon Temples, Baptist churches or any other denomination’s church on Rodeo Drive, Wall Street or other ‘high demand’ commecial areas. And yes, the area around the Twin Towers site in New York is considered a highly desired property site for a commecial company.

How COULD Paterson GIVE government land?

What about the seperation of church and state?

Or does that not apply to mosque and state?

A state $65 BILLION in debt is going to GIVE $millions away to a religion, and yet tax others of another religion to foot the bill?

How would government giving land to a religious group not be seen as establishing a religion?

If spirit and outreach were part of his agenda, of course he would move.

But they are not.

This is an in-your-face challenge. Now it’s your/our move.

Support Greg Gutfeld’s moslem-friendly gay bar that he wants to put next to the GZ mosque.

Just a thought.

Now that Paterson has opened Pandoras box of the governments willingness to give government land for a mosque, this sets a precident to the muzzies.

In a muzzies twisted logic, if the government is willing to give them government land for building a mosque, than the government land they should be given is the government land the Twin Towers stood on.

Is this offer by Patterson even legal?? Constitutional?

It was turned down, but can anyone imagine the uproar of state land was “given” to any other religion for a church or synagogue?

Can’t say the Arabs/Islamics aren’t consistent.

They are principled. You can’t bribe them from their goals- dancing on our graves in this instance.

Just like when yesterday Lebanon said to refuse US aid and arms if they are not permitted to use such aid against Israel.

This could have been stopped as a national security issue, the whole thing would have had support of all Americans, and case closed.

Haven’t seen this asked, but I assume the call to prayer will be blared daily over Ground Zero?
