The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Patersons offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood.
I think they would like to stay where they are, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them, Paterson said. Having said that, how much more foresighted would it have been if the imam who is the developer of the project had been willing to hear what we are actually talking about?

Speaks volumes for Rauf’s motivations.....
Now that Paterson has opened Pandoras box of the governments willingness to give government land for a mosque, this sets a precident to the muzzies.
In a muzzies twisted logic, if the government is willing to give them government land for building a mosque, than the government land they should be given is the government land the Twin Towers stood on.
It was turned down, but can anyone imagine the uproar of state land was “given” to any other religion for a church or synagogue?
And of course, once this comes out in the public, King Obama will decree it by Executive Order.
Next step, governor calls out the New York militia to “fix” the problem...
Would someone PLEASE bring out the bacon?
Can’t say the Arabs/Islamics aren’t consistent.
They are principled. You can’t bribe them from their goals- dancing on our graves in this instance.
Just like when yesterday Lebanon said to refuse US aid and arms if they are not permitted to use such aid against Israel.
Who cares? The idea is to get the Muslims off Ground Zero and stop throwing their dispicable hateful Jihad in our faces.
Lace the land and building with lard; tell the Muzzies there was a pig farm on the property; give them a nice plot of land where they can be isolated from Christians who don’t care about PC - only protecting a hallowed spot in New York City.
But DON’T let the mosque be built.
islam is NOT a religion. It is a political entity with a “holy” book that instructs its adherents how to kill and conquer. Catholics, Baptist, Jews, Mathodists, Lutherans, and eve the Amish are true religious groups. They don’t go around killing to conquer.
That’s how Patterson could have given governmant land to the muzzies and not violate the the seperation of church and state deal.
How about moving it out of the USA.
, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them”
...and I respect Sharia law, and I respect their right to attack again because we suck, and I respect the removal of all christians and jews by force if necessary. Shut up you little asshole!
This could have been stopped as a national security issue, the whole thing would have had support of all Americans, and case closed.
Haven’t seen this asked, but I assume the call to prayer will be blared daily over Ground Zero?
I say bring the troops home now. There’s no point for our troops to be fighting and dying for nothing in Afghanistan if the cowards who run New York City see fit to surrender.
Let see how they like it.
Maybe a land swap?
If someone had told me on Sept.12, 2001 that ten years hence, the World Trade Center site would still be a vacant lot, while just down the street a shining new Mosque stood as a symbol of Islamic triumph, I would have thought them mad.
Yes .... and I think Thursday nights should be ladies' night .... slip into your favorite party burka and come on in and get stoned.
“The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Patersons offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood. “
The minute they rejected that offer should have taken everything off the table.
The moment they relinquish the religion angle, we box them out.
But then of course we have no politicians with ANY BALLS.
