A second General has come out in support of former Greeley resident Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin, who is challenging in court President Obamas eligibility to be President, saying a good leader would gladly produce the documentation and put this issue to rest.
This past Friday, Lt. Col Lakin attended a military hearing to face several charges including missing a movement. Following the hearing, Lakin was ordered not to speak to the press and was immediately taken by military escort back to Walter Reed Medical Center without even being permitted to speak to his lawyer.
Lakin is being represented by both military and civilian counsel. Margaret Hemenway, spokeswoman for Lt. Col. Lakin said one of his attorneys Paul Rolf Jensen is considering filing a complaint over the manner his client was treated following the hearing.
Army Major General (Ret) Jerry Curry a decorated combat veteran has issued statement saying he agrees with Lakin that the President should provide proof of eligibility. Curry served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Carter Administration, as Press Secretary to the Secretary of Defense for the Reagan Administration, and has worked in international relations, public affairs, management, aviation, and research and development.
General Curry lamented that members of the military were having to raise the issue It shouldnt be the Lieutenant Colonels, Sergeants and Generals in the Army it should be the Congressman and Senators on both sides of the issue asking this man to step up to the plate and provide the proof to the American people. Curry expressed concern for Lakin telling the Gazette the administration will do its best to destroy him personally.

I bet there won’t be many active generals saying that.
It’s still good
And here we see the misconception in this line of reasoning.
Hasn’t he heard? It’s posted on the internet.

I’m all for pursuing the BC, but nothing’s gonna remove Baraq before Jan 2013.
Even if we get a Republican congress this fall, they won’t have the guts to pitch him out.
To the extent that it keeps the Baraqqis off balance, it’s fun to watch.
Growing legs, it is. Ending in revolt, this will.
Yep, just not as effective. Just think if there were some active flag officers from different services that did this? Then we may get somewhere.
Producing ID is nothing new. Getting onto base, when cops pull you over, getting on an airplane, etc
Expecting that our political leaders adhere to the Constitution is a given.
As for the drive-by media trying to destroy the colonel... Never happen. He’ll always have a place to stay... He’ll, I’d put him up if he needed it
Zero/dirtbag is hiding something.

ping for later
Zero/dirtbag is hiding something.
Nope, both are retired.
FYI Curry is black.
Speaking like Yoda you are.
I know.
The joint chiefs should simply have Obama arrested and stand trial in a military court.
“And here we see the misconception in this line of reasoning.”
But it’s an excellent rhetorical point, for who can dispute it? So long as Obama fails to product the long form BC, people are quite justified in questioning whether he is a good leader in general or how much he cares about the military in particular.
No Democrat can advance a coherent argument about why withholding the long form BC is a good idea or justifiable. If there’s truly something so embarrassing that the president would rather a decorated military officer go to jail for 4 years than reveal it, then that makes him susceptible to all sorts of blackmail from our enemies. It also makes him look like a weenie to world leaders.
He was elected to arguably the toughest job in America: he ought to man up and accept some of the consequences that come from holding such an important office and its attendant responsibilities, as he and his wife surely have amply benefited from its perks.
I’ll tune into to Brian Williams tonight and pick up the NY Times tomorrow to see how they cover this.</sarcasm>
