The Serious Tracking of Americans Begins
Economic Policy Journal ^ | 07/16/2010 | Economic Policy Journal

They have passed the health bill, they have passed the financial regulations bill and they have snuck stuff into the stimulus package bills. They are going to track your money and your body. Here's the first few things they are doing. This is step one. It will only get worse from here.

According numismaster.com:

...the Health Care Bill mandates, according to Numismaster.com, Starting on January 1st in 2012, S federal law will require coin and bullion dealers to report to the Internal Revenue Service all gold and silver coin purchases and sales greater than $600. No that is not an error, they tacked the gold coin tracking regulations into the health bill. They are just tacking stuff on wherever they can.

As for your body, you will be required to have an "electronic health record", by 2014. They snuck this into one of the "stimulus" bills. The electronic record will include an obesity rating. The information will be required to be on a "national exchange" with only secure access (Hah!). Why the F does your obesity rating have to be on a national exchange? This is a tip off to how micro-managed they are going to attempt to run your life.

Keep in mind that the health bill and financial "reform" bill are thousands of pages, with much of the details left up to the new agencies to fill in. Obama is appointing major league interventionists to head these agencies. They are completely clueless as to how an economy works. Their regs will be over the top. It will stifle America in so many ways, it is difficult to imagine. I was in East Berlin the year before the Wall came down. I saw what constant monitoring and micro-management did to people. It is not pretty. The gray, the drab, the despair was everywhere. When you can only take orders and wait for approvals and are constantly watched, it saps the life out of you. America is going to be changing and the government is going to try and watch you and monitor your vitals, as if you were a lab rat, as it does the changing.

It is not going to be pretty.

I support all peaceful attempts - such as the one you advance - HOWEVER, I think they will fail because the Obama Regime knows this is the last opportunity to install a collectivist government and I think the Obama directed Left means to attack first and with great violence starting soon under the banner of “One Nation.”

Really the point is MOOT concerning the revolution. In fact a bloodless revolution already has begun with legislative and executive coup after coup against the U.S. Constitution by the Obama Regime in the last 18 months.

Act II of the Obama Coup will be violence: This is in Obots Marxist DNA just like armed resistance was in the DNA of the Confederates in 1861.

This country is once again a house divided and compromise is impossible. There Will Be Blood.

Only one real reason to do that. They are going to confiscate the gold again and need to know who the steady buyers and sellers are.

It got its death sentence when the politicians realized they could blackmail the citizens with their own money.

” None of us want to see it; only the crazy want it to happen - which is why the other side is pushing and pushing the way they are. I truly think they are insane.

Just my take on it. “

Mine as well.

Nothing that has been done so far is irrevocable.

In theory you are correct and I hope Obamunism is yanked out root and branch. The reality is that not a single piece of social justice legislation since FDR has been repealed.

The problem is that over the decades, the Left has removed much of the legislative duties from Congress (Article I Section 1) and illegally assigned them to the courts and unelected, untouchable agencies that write rules with the force of law. They write so many, so fast that challenging each and every one in Congress or the courts is an expensive, time consuming and for all practical purposes, near impossible quest.p>

I’m not a militia person in the least (and in fact, I don’t know if there are even any within 100 miles of my town), but I think we all on FR have to stay in touch.

I don’t think Obama’s going to provoke a clash until he feels that we are so weakened and isolated that there will be no problem. What I can’t quite figure out is how it’s going to be staged.

But I would say possibly within the next year. He’ll get through the November elections, and even if the House is taken by the GOP, that won’t be enough...and he has gotten the US so accustomed to “executive orders” (which is how Hugo Chavez “governs”) that the composition of Congress really won’t even matter.

As for gun ownership, since the NRA seems to be on Obama’s side now, I’d say that’s not a reliable predictor of resistance.

Was he for it or against it?

I don't see him as a good guy. Seems to be one of the elitists he talks about.

United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981.

I think he is very anti-Israel. --He is on record as saying “It is now easier to kill one million people than to control one million people.”

Who talks that way? or thinks about how to control a million people?

"I already have this sense of some presence, "the government," hovering right behind me, or maybe in the back of my head somewhere, not quite controlling yet, but preparing to do so..."

I have the same premonition. I was in Walmart looking at the shelves of merchandise, and thinking that the government was going to make sure that those shelves receive less and less stock as time goes by.

I'm reading Whittaker Chambers' "Witness." It is an incredible book, but as I read, I am impressed with the dread I feel as I see the things he described in the early Fifties actually coming to pass today, as we write.

"Global strategists" think that way. It's nothing personal. It's an attempt to assess the risk of life and resources in various scenarios - which path will create the least/most destruction/value, for/to whom?

Personally, the only "one-world government" I can support is when Jesus Christ returns in glory to rule the earth. Other than that, all man-created political solutions are doomed to flower for awhile and then fail. As we have seen with the Obamessiah movement, the pace between flowering and fading is increasingly rapid.

Witness is an amazing book. It’s beautifully written and it really gives you a look at mindsets and environments that, oddly enough, have not changed much in 50 years...except that now, they’re in charge. But when you see how widespread were the tentacles, and how corrupted were the enforcement agencies, even at that time, you can understand how we got to where we are now.

This feeling invaded my life on 11/04/2008. As someone else mentioned, states rights is the best chance we have. I've been listening to a 'summary' of a section in the newly passed finance reform bill...deeply disturbing. Expect to start seeing freak shows at your local banks because the 'inclusion' of freaks among us are to be included...the transgendered, the perverts etc etc.

However there are some positives that we cannot ignore.

With all due respect (or not), are you out of your mind? Even to accept a fraction as positive is absolutely apalling. You try to find a silver lining if you want but to your own peril.

Can't believe my eyes/ears...."there are some positives"...Geez.

Can you believe there are people on here that still stands behind that decision and further, some even say they will ‘sit out’ the next election if this one, that one or the other gets the nomination. I’ve seen a few say that about Gov Palin...unfreakingbelievable!

It is good that we are all ‘electronically connected’ instead of talking and debating in person because I would find it very difficult not to find a 2x4 and knock someone in the head with it.

Not Necessarily. If enough people spend $15K for a .50 cal and a Bushnell scope boresighted for 5000 feet by a gunsmith, no problem.

Then you have Al Queda and other jihadists who widely published how to make cheap bo mbs to be blown up by cheap cell phones.

You acquire the 6-9 chemicals on your own. I am only good for nitro, which got my ass whipped by my dad. And that was the end of my young career as a chemist.

Bravo. Exactly right. And the majority of the US population is unaware, just as with the chemtrails right above their heads, destroying air, water, soil, animals & human beings.
