I'm sorry, that just won't due, take a time-out!
Indeed.
I watched Charlie’s Drum technique up close.
Old school hand position.
And he skips the hi-hat on selected beats.
Very unique. It makes the Stones sound like the Stones.
And Keith plays Rhythm and lead Guitar at the same time. You could have interchangeable lead guitar players, or none at all, as LONG as you have KEEF.
Bill Wyman’s Bass is great, but I can duplicate his bass lines.
Most of the time, the Bass and drums are the soul of the band, but with the Stones, it is the RHYTHM GUITAR and Drums.
They are a phenomenon.
Sup-R! (((hugs)))
I think lamb is unedible but love them gyros..lol. I have a magnet on my fridge that says...Not all the finer things in life are free..GYROS for instance. Those cost a few bucks!
Good evening, Drumbo...((HUGS))...tender is good. Fits you to a T.
Gyros recipe:
Meat mixture:
Ingredients
½ pound ground Lamb
½ pound ground Beef
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 pita bread rounds (6-inch), halved crosswise
1 cup chopped fresh baby spinach
1 small thin sliced sweet white onion
1 diced tomato
The prepared cucumber sauce
In large bowl, combine oregano, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, cumin and salt. Add ground lamb and ground beef; mix well. Form into 4 patties, about 3/4-inch thick. Grill over medium coals or broil about 5 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
Split open each pita half forming a pocket. Place gyro-burger in each pocket; top with chopped spinach, onions, tomatoes and yogurt mixture.
The Cucumber Sauce:
ngredients
8 oz. plain yogurt (not low-fat)
1 medium cucumber
1/8 teaspoon white pepper or 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 tablespoon dill
2 peeled garlic cloves, finely minced
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Method
Place 1 medium cut up cucumber in a chopper (peel skin, remove pulp and seeds as they are very bitter,) chop until finely chopped. Spoon out on paper towels to soak up as much moisture as possible, place the chopped cucumber in a small bowl then stir in 2 finely minced garlic cloves, juice of ½ lemon, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoon dill. Pour off any water from the yogurt and blend in 8 oz, regular yogurt (not low fat) do not over-mix. Cover bowl and immediately place in refrigerator and let set undisturbed for 24 hours so the ingredients will blend and sauce re-thicken (keep chilled when not in use.)
Makes about 2 cups
P.S. I did not put the dill in my sauce...
I prefer not to split the pita bread, but rather to put the ingredients on the bread, and then fold in half sorta like a taco.
;0)
See!
Everyone loves Gyros!
The humidity would kill me. LOL! Glad it is better this week.
Ok :(. How long do I have to sit in the Naughty Chair?
Sympathetic...tis good.
Always a good day here on Jim Thompson’s site!
Thanks!
Funny thing is...I don’t like cucumbers either!
Actually I own a gun, but it is even LONGER than my bass.
When I run out of shot, I can swing THAT too!
LOL
If so where?
I'm originally from Seattle, but grew up in Bellevue in the 60's until it became too big!!
Then got out and stayed out!!
NEVER split the pita. Always just fold :).
It's Like Busch gardens instead of Bush gardens.
Buschel is definitely bigger than a bread box.
You definitely missed your calling.. You would have made an entertaining and effective English teacher.
Defiantly the Rhythm guitar.
Charlie has a unique style as well.
I wish I could find his old CDs with The Charlie Watts Jazz band.
I am a Bass Freek but never was wowed by Wyman.
Geddy Lee Yes. Lemmy Kilminster yes. Burke Shelly Yes.
Stanley Clarke yes
LOL! Love what your color says about you. Good job!
How is the studying coming along, or did I miss the test?
Well, they could maybe pawn the bass, and maybe get $200.00 for it.
But they would have to clean their BRAINS off it first.
