"Being an American is not a matter of blood or birth, it's a matter of faith," President Obama declared at a speech he gave on immigration.

Obama also blamed "resentment" to new immigrants to poor economic conditions.

"Now, we can't forget that this process of immigration and eventual inclusion has often been painful. Each new wave of immigrants has generated fear and resentment towards newcomers, particularly in times of economic upheaval," Obama said.

Sounds like he THINKS Americans are starting to believe more and more that he’s not eligible. The poll numbers are scaring him. If everyone hates him it matters if he was born here or not. So, in this amnesty he’s about to issue he’ll also “change” the requirements to be president. He’s obama, you know.

Nope, he’s not an American, no matter where he was born.

He has no allegiance to the nation’s foundation in liberty,
and is openly hostile to our culture and tradition.

Don’t laugh. I was in a Washington, DC taxi and, out of no where, the cab driver, who was from some African hell hole, told me “America belongs to the world, it doesn’t belong to you Americans.” Mind you, he just started raving about this. We were not having any kind of conversation. His general gist was that anyone in the world has the right to come here and live, and we don’t have anything to say about it. We owe them. I think that this is a fairly widespread attitude, due, in part, to the fact that our government has not controlled our borders for several decades. And I think BO buys into that point of view. It is not our country, it is theirs, and HE is one of THEM.

If you listened to that speech, you’d think the illegals were more American than we are. Patriotic, hard-working, family-loving, blah, blah, blah...

That was my thought, too. I wonder if he’s going to try to slip something into his “comprehensive reform” where Presidents no longer have to be natural born citizens of the US. This is in the Constitution, but he’s been pretty successful in just ignoring or distorting the Constitution in every other aspect, simply using administrative regulations instead of laws, so maybe he’ll try this one too.

I guess this means Obama doesn’t believe in the 14th amendment.

Being an American, is a matter of FAITH!!!

Faith? Faith? Is being an American a religion? Does this A-hole (capital A) think he is God? This jackAss should be committed to the rubber room.

They know the difference.
They just obfuscate reality like they do with every issue,

because reality and truth do not favor them.

Are you agreeing or shouting out your disagreement?

For myself, being an American is a matter of Constitutional rectitude. That does mean Americans are Americans because of shared constitutional premises. One of those premises is the necessity of being either natural-born or naturalized. It is not simply a matter of ‘hey, evabody, I’m Murrican!’ That’s insane, IMHO.

(So I figure it’s exactly what the Pres__ent means).

"Being an American is ... a matter of faith," President Obama declared poppycock [ˈpɒpɪˌkɒk] n. Informal 1. senseless chatter; 2. absurd speech or writing; 3. nonsense [from Dutch dialect pappekak, literally: soft excrement, from pap soft + kak dung; see pap1]

<Being an American is not a matter of blood or birth,

No kidding, ‘whoa’! WTF? What other country has citizenship as a matter of faith? What happened to our laws, for crying out loud?

People, we have got to be vigilant and active. This man has to go, his congress has to go. As we get closer to the elections and you consider conservative candidates, do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. There are no perfect candidates (OK, maybe Sarah), the job is to get the dims out and get your country back.

You can get naturalized without blood or birth, but you can't be president without both! Obama knows that that his legal eligibility defenses are going to crumble eventually and he is trying to “condition the battlefield” with disinformation.
