Several Senators have learned of a possible plan by the Obama Administration that would provide a mass Amnesty for the nation's 11-18 million illegal aliens. Led by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), eight Senators addressed a letter to the President asking for answers to questions about a plan that would allow DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to provide an amnesty if they can't secure enough votes for a bill in the Senate.
The letter that was sent to Pres. Obama earlier today asks the President for clarification on the use of deferred action or parole for illegal aliens. The executive actions are typically used in special cases and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but if 60 votes can't be secured in the Senate to pass a mass Amnesty, the Administration may use the discretionary actions as an alternative.

I don’t think it’s “laziness” I think it’s the fact that people do hesitate to basically leave their children and lose their jobs to camp outside of the Capital in the hopes that enough of their fellow patriots show up to make it worthwhile

The more unpopular he gets, the more voters he needs to alienate in order to satisfy his base, the left. If Obama tried this, he might make some Chavez lovers happy but he’d also doom himself and his party.
Fear, fear. What is this fear. Everyone is afraid of obama. These Senators need to go in front of the cameras and speak to the American people and tell them in no uncertain terms what he is planning to do. Don’t wait until after he does it. These wimps need to take a cue from Gov. Brewer

I honestly think this was a factor in Bill Clinton's survival.
But how do Republicans in congress shut down the government when they’re the minority in both the House and the Senate? We don’t have enough votes in congress to block all the outrageous stuff that this administration is doing. This is the result of so many dumbed-down voters being fooled by the mainstream media in 2006 and 2008 and voting for democrats. People just did not listen to the facts about Obama either in 2008 and got caught up in the media hysteria about his candidacy, and the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and resulting financial turmoil. When I heard that Obama was the most liberal senator in the US Senate, that one fact immediately ruled out any possibility that I would vote for him. Anyone who’s to the left of John Kerry is automatically unqualified to be President.
The GOP has a problem, which is that it’s very tough to fight this administration effectively from a minority position in congress. First we have to win a lot more seats in the House and Senate in November.
So what are you still here posting on Free Republic for? Shouldn't you be turning in your guns and putting up pictures of Dear Reader so the storm troopers will leave you alone?

That seems to be the plan. They will all qualify for welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing and tax refunds.
The rest of us will get the tab.
We are the boots on the ground. Men, women and children will have to step up and do what needs to be done...do what military families do today...they cope while their family member is in the military. If the crap hits the fan, you can either worry about your job or be prepared to give up your country, your freedom, your liberty, all you hold near and dear. This is war and you have to put certain things on hold...first things first. Sounds easier than it is, I know, but others before us have been compelled to do it when necessity dictates. Acknowledge your fears, straighten your spine, find that personal courage within yourself and pray.
Wouldn't surprise me if he tried it, but if he does, he's gonna open a can of Whoop-Ass that'll be harder to cap than the Deep Horizon oil well in the Gulf.
If the Congress and the Supreme Court didn't kill that executive order, The People would.
We Americans can shoulder almost any other burden, but this. Blanket amnesty for an estimated 30 million illegals would also provide a bridge for their families to come here legally, as well. Altogether, it would spell the end of all things for this country.
That is something that all normal Americans would instantly conclude, and their collective reaction would be swift and sure. It would not stand, and would result in arrests and treason trials across the depth and breadth of the federal government. And it probably wouldn't stop there. Once the fuse is lit, there'll be no turning the thing off. It will run its complete course.

The psychotic base loves the totalitarian actions of the Democrats, the war rhetoric and the condemnation of conservatives and republicans as neanderthals. (and the psychotic base grows ever larger)
