We've been hearing a lot of comments recently about a national coup d'etat scheduled for sometime in late summer or early fall and designed to circumvent the coming Democrat debacle in the 2010 elections.
This is an example of political gothic of a type that I tend to overlook. But my interest was piqued by the fact that it has been mentioned several dozen times in the comment threads of essays of mine in recent weeks. I've had a little difficulty grasping exactly how such a thing would work, so I've spent the last few days puzzling it out.
The contention is that at some point before the upcoming November elections, an "incident" of some violent but unknown nature will occur that will provide Obama with the opportunity to declare "martial law" across the country, which will involve the "cancellation" or "postponement" of the elections. This will enable the Obama dictatorship to take off its humanist mask and put its true agenda into play, part of which involves sending JRD up to Prudhoe Bay to feed moss to the caribou for the next ten years.

I’d suggest you think long and hard about patriots with light arms taking on tanks, APC’s, artillery, and aircraft.
I’m not a worrier by nature but the Obamanistas give me plenty to chew on. You have to look at what they say as well as what they do and when you put it all together it spells deep trouble for freedom.
Yeah, I’m overanalyzing for those who are free from that psychology. But for those who are caught in it - and they know who they are - they need to dig through the beliefs that tell them they would have to blindly follow an Adolf Hitler simply because he was the recognized leader issuing lawful orders.

So just ignore what I’ve said because you don’t need it. But those who need to hear it know who they are.

That is exactly what I think. If there is a BIG financial crash before he is out of office....the O will ‘nationalize’and/or ‘federalize’ businesses and corporations. A great step toward facilitating his agenda.
These are the guys, with their militarized SWAT teams and very casual attitudes about this Constitution thing, civilian control of the police, and the fact that you have them giving loyalty to political organizations, (Weis in Chicago as an example) that are going to control "civil crisis."
The LEOs are the sharp end of the spear. They are the ones who enforce the "law," regardless of how silly, stupid, greedy or deadly the "law" is. They obey. They don't think, or refuse an order. They justify anything, because it's "us" against Civilians. Recall that the Einsatzgruppen were drawn from German Police Departments, not the military. LEOs are the ones who will dig the ditches...
Something brought on Beck’s show last night. The black flag anarchists and communists ( Van Jones types) are getting impatient with obama. They organized their communities, helped get him elected, and continue to run interference for him. But things aren’t happening fast enough for them. The obama admin is going about shredding the constitution, but waiting in the tall grass is a bunch of anarchistic marxist revolutionary types. Think G-20 protester types. The organizations that supported obama are believers in violent revolution in order to establish a “true people’s democrat nation”. They are operating under the organizational banner of “storm”. He’s a Marxist. And, as I said here on FR on 11/4/08 - all things changed on that date...nothing will ever be the same. Contrary to the thinking of so many here on FR, we aren’t simply “in a cycle.”
BTW, I’ve never been a conspiratorialist, and NEVER suggested that Clinton (or anyone else, for that matter) would do this. I have no track-record of being a reactionary.
I don’t disagree with the idea that light arms versus tanks, etc. would be a disaster. I am talking about SEIU/Black Panther/libots. I am assuming the military stands down. On the other hand, I have some neighbors that have quite the arsenal and know how to use it.
If the military doesn’t support Hussein, I have no doubt that such a coup would fail. But I have heard too much 0-love from too many military officers to have much confidence in them.

Interesting article. I do think that the biggest threat facing the U.S. is the long term insidious dumbing down of our educational system and the slow but steady erosion of knowledge and understanding of our political system and our history. Who fights for something s/he doesn’t understand?
Anything is possible, but some things are not likely.
Our country has been blessed before, many times during dark days in our history.... it may be blessed again.
There is a heart of courage and an unyielding Army within America, and as I see it, this Army is reasonably described within the below video.. at about 5:25 and forward.
If this Army can muster the courage to stay together, as it has in the past, then we as a nation will prevail, again.

It is said that “history can repeat itself”. These words are often used to describe negative moments in history... It is my belief that history will repeat itself, but that it can be the good that rises from the storm.
We The People will win... we just don’t know the actual cost, sacrifice nor the exact date of victory.

For a coup to be successful you usually need the military behind it.
I just cannot imagine the guys I know in the senior ranks of the military ordering tanks onto the streets of the US.
I can, not because there is inherently something wrong with the troops but because in these situaitons everyone does what it takes to save themselves...following orders.
I’ve been hearing those exact words for decades now.
I think that happens to us all. If it hadn’t been the cherished motto of our honorable Marines, I wouldn’t have even questioned it.
