There was that BS story last night about him committing suicide, I knew it was not true. This guy loves himself too much to hurt himself. I hope they give this prick the chair for killing both of these women

Perhaps he was looking for another victim.

I guess someone is following this kid around, murdering women, and then framing him for it. It’s a conspiracy! </s>

Let’s see if the Peruvian justice system can do a better job than Aruba/Netherlands.

Wager: Netherlands will try to have the killer tried in Netherlands territory, then find insufficient evidence. And he will be turned loose to murder some other woman.

He'll spend 50+ years in a cold damp prison cell on a Peruvian mountaintop. Then he'll die in it.

Enjoy life now, party boy.

My guess is that he was looking for a quick way to get to Daddy and Mommy to help him again (airport?).

Good for Chile....obviously they are not Aruba.

I think van der Sloot’s days are numbered. He and his fellow Arubes will not be so easy to fix this trial

OJ can help him find the real killers.

Right on all counts. But Peru will not comply. Take notes, you people in Aruba and the Netherlands. You’re about to see the correct handling of a sexual sadist/serial killing sociopath.

"Peru has the death penalty."

I'd have to look, but I don't believe they have the DP for just murder. It has to be treason or perhaps terrorism as well. Most the South American countries did away with capital punishment for murder (or altogether) during the 70s & 80s. Some still have it for treason and mass murder. I think Guyanna (sp?) is the only country that still has it for a single murder.
