Well, that takes care of the next 6 months of Greta’s shows - she might as well go ahead and lay-off her writers.....

“Peru has the death penalty.”

Good. And I trust Peru doesn’t have the appeal system we have here in PA that allows the convicted to live out most of their lives without ever being executed.

I expect the Peruvians will try his case. Hopefully, he will get what he deserves...and I’m fairly certain that the prison will not be air-conditioned.

I would also point out that a life sentence in a Peruvian prison for a westerner accused of killing a Peruvian woman, probably isn’t all that long, as a practical matter. South American prisons are some of the worst prisons on the planet. Joran’s not going to last long.

I saw on another thread that the Netherlands have pretty much said he’s on his own and the Peruvians will have jurisdiction.

Dad died supposedly from a heart attack while playing tennis. Ah, life (or death) must be good to not have a worry in the world to be playing tennis while sonny boy is out murdering more young women.

Let’s hope the prison IS air conditioned...when it’s 20 below outside.

There is NO death penalty in Peru for anything other than TREASON, or sometimes, rarely, in the case of the murder of a policeman.

Yepper. I hope he gets life and does his hard time in Peru, where the prison system is quite a bit different that Aruba.

He will stick out like a sore thumb in the prison population and will be a target. And the prison officials won’t care what happens to him, so in the end, he gets what is due to him.

His father died over half a year ago. Allegedly, through a third party, he was attempting to contact his Aruban attorney via email -- there's a link on one of the last pages of the extended discussion thread, here:

I hope the little punk enjoyed his party days because they are OVER! Unless his family can buy/bribe his way thru the peruvian justice system he is going to be spending alot of time in a very rough jail system......He deserves it though..........

In the mountains? If he goes there....it gets pretty cold in the winter and there is no glass on the windows....brrrrrrr. It will be bare bones and he will have to share a cell.

Didn’t his father die? Perhaps he left him some money.
