The trouble ain't that there is too many fools, but that
the lightning ain't distributed right.

God really does have a sense of humor...he doesn’t show it all that often, but when he does a hearty laugh is guaranteed!
The flat tire on the motorcade really cracked me up...the topper.

the downpour came just as the president was introduced. Was he late as usual? If he had been on time, could they have gotten through this before the downpour began?

I dont want to see anyone hurt, but MAN that would be funny if a few got zotted during his speech. Was it a thunderstorm? I can't imagine the SS allowing O to stand in a thunderstorm with an umbrella!

YEAH...thats what I THOUGHT....what fool put him up there with an UMBRELLA???? (Maybe there are some really devious SS people?) How much more uplifting that pic could have been, with just a single lightning bolt...

Not really a beef with them...just frustrated that they probably already thought of the lightning thing. Lighten up .

I understand what you are saying, but there may be people in that crowd who are just there out of curiousity. If a bolt hit one of those fools with the chairs, it would probably kill a lot of people around them, it would be a horrific thing to have happen, and to watch.
The more that I think about it, the more loathing I have for them. They were putting everyone in danger doing that, and they could probably care less - THEY wanted to hear their Master speak.

You know, the most obvious reason I can think of for Obama to have chosen this weekend of all weekends to visit his Chicago home for the first time in 15 months is the start of the Blago trial this Thursday. He was able to meet his Chi-town politicos at various locales without the prying eyes of the press.
Honoring our dead this weekend was not his priority and he got called out on it before the world. It's funny how things work out.

Excuse me, everybody listen up, Obama told the crowd at the event, according to a White House pool report. We are a little bit concerned about lightning. This may not be safe. A little bit of rain doesnt hurt anybody but we dont want anybody struck by lightning.

No, I have very much respect for them. It’s just very discomforting for me to see that they must do their job, especially with this one.
