Climate Science: Noted scientists at a Chicago climate conference declare that global warming is not only dead, but that the planet faces a big chill for decades to come. What about those frozen wind turbines?
It's not exactly Copenhagen or Kyoto, but the 700 scientists attending the fourth International Conference on Climate Change, sponsored by the Heartland Institute, had some chilling news of their own in the most liberal sense.
"Global warming is over at least for a few decades," Don Easterbrook, emeritus professor of geology at Western Washington University, told the gathering. "However, the bad news is that global cooling is even more harmful to humans than global warming, and a cause for greater concern."

Too late you can only cry wolf 2 billion times and then folks start to ignore scientists even when they are relating sound science.

Its whatever works.
When you’re in the crisis business, and your solution is you, you, more power for you, and a magical money-laundering machine, any crisis will do. Global warming? Great. Global cooling? Brilliant. Global swarms of cicadas? Capital. Global lack of cicada swarms? It doesn’t matter. With a little money in the right places and a completely supine press corps you can sell ice to eskimos.
Maunder Minimum?? We have a forcast of rain and snow tomorrow night (Helena) I am tired of winter but I think we haven’t seen anything yet

They are talking snow tonight here, Idaho Falls.

IOW - screw the dopes that think ANY of us can control the weather. Yeesh! :)
heck yeah. Bring on the cooling. I love cold weather the best. Easier hikes, more snow, mmmmm.....
Cold weather is, however, more harmful to humans.
It means less rain, CO2 is reduced(needed for plant life) and that all adds up to lower yields in farming and less arable land.
It also means less growing season as the cold and rain hang on, only the heartiest of crops can be produced such as potatoes and beans.
Crops that will be reduced with more cold are corn, wheat, hops, tomatoes, fruits. Basically, anything that loves sun will not grow or grow as hearty.
More sun and CO2= more vegetation. Think Amazon and Central America.
Still, I love the cold.
The High Middle Ages, from 1000 to 1250 AD, was a time of prosperity, brought on by global warming (not caused by SUVs) and the bumper crops it created. This was followed by the Late Middle Ages, a more dismal time, caused by Little Ice Age.
Cooler temperatures do not support a large global population.
Ohh WOE is me... whys everybody always pickin on me???
Well, now we can stop protesting at companies that release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and instead protest at companies who release ice cubes into the atmosphere. :s

From my alma mater, however I suspect he’s the only there who would admit this truth. The eco-freaks at Fairhaven college are probably storming his house right now.
.
These guys are giving real scientists a bad name...
I’m in Texas. WE like it warm.
This guy is like walking into your field office in Iraq and he leaves the 8 oz. Cup of used Copenhagen on your desk.
You can not express the rage you have. Your best sergeant takes care of the mess.

Maunder or Dalton. My hubby, SirKit, and I, think this one should be called the Hansen-Gore Minimum, just to point out just how STOOPID those two men are!
When I got up this morning its was snowing so hard I had to clean the satallite dish off in order to get a signal.
