No Kaslin I wasn’t telling you to stop posting sanity island. It was a gut reaction to LB’s new revelation. It’s all an illusion but if you feel the need to get ‘ignorant’ about someone’s opinion...go ahead. I was very proud to support GW....his wife..she’s dead to me. I truly enjoyed your post......they mean nothing to me now. But you go ahead and throw out vile remarks to others because of opinions about LB. It’s all been a farce.

Pres. Bush II gave at least two interviews, if IIRC, in which he explained that he did not believe the Bible to be true (though he did receive ‘comfort’ from it), nor does he believe that Christianity is the only path to God. His record on big government speaks for itself. To say he responded magnificently to 9/11 is damning with faint praise.

I do hope she doesn’t “help” President Bush pick out the library design. That crap in Little Rock is awful. I can imagine what she has in mind.

Who do you think designed this rug

Another key feature of the Oval Office that most presidents choose to change is the rug. Though each version of the Oval Office rug features the presidential seal at the center, presidents are free to redesign the colors and other elements embedded in the rug’s design. Bill Clinton’s rug was dominantly royal blue with a floral border and red accents. Laura Bush redesigned the rug when her husband became president, and it features a yellow sunburst emanating from the seal to relay what Laura intended to be an “open and optimistic” element to the room. Bush’s rug also includes a border comprised of olive branches and blue stars. The design of the rug’s presidential seal was changed by Harry Truman in the wake of World War II. The main element of the seal is a bald eagle which represents the United States. The eagle holds an olive branch in one talon and a group of arrows in the other. Before Truman’s administration, the eagle faced the military might of the arrows. Looking toward a peaceful future, Truman redesigned the seal so that the eagle now glances toward the olive branches. The seal remains that way in Bush’s rug. Although President Obama will likely choose a new rug design for his Oval Office, he has decided to retain Bush’s rug for the time being.

I shudder to think about what the rug looks like that that Michelle might design, having seen some of her dresses with those 10-12 inch wide belts that she uses to hold up her boobs

And here she is with her Black Widow spider dress

So learn me up on how achieving widower status would be a result of 'clueless'?

Awwww, cry me a river. You only said you had been married several times. Didn't say anything about being a widower. Now suddenly you want to try to pull the sympathy card. Bah!

All true, all irrelevant to the issue at hand.

All most definitely NOT irrelevant. What part of "there is more to life than politics" do you not get? What part of "her husband was running for office, not Mrs. Bush" do you not get?

Your screen name leads me to my next comment. People like you would be a hoot if you weren't so harmful.

I’m sick and tired of otherwise on-the-money Freepers making excuses for Laura Bush, and I’m glad to see it stopped. Yes, she’s a classy lady, was a wonderful First Lady, and is a thousand times more of a lady than the present holder of that title, but much as I respect her, I do NOT respect her PC, uninformed opinions. She just helps the socialist regime by spouting them. And I wonder why.

If, DUH!.. you don't get it by now then get back on the merry-go-round and have fun with yourself.

“Gwb is the sole reason we have obama.”

I’m with you, but maybe a little less than the “sole” reason. He had a lot of help from a Republican majority that governed like a bunch of drunken democrats (is this redundant?) when they had the majority in Congress, not to mention the Mark Foleys and Larry Craigs making a steady stream of news that told the public pubbies are or can be every bit as sleazy as Democraps.

Still, I have to give top honors to GWB: on principle alone, because the leader always has to be ultimately accountable; on actions as well, like those I mentioned and his daft unwillingness to punch back when the dems and their willing accomplices in the MSM were hammering them with the claims of lying, war crimes, illegal interrogations, etc. That drum beat him down until his poll numbers had cratered so bad, he was the Laughing Stock of the Free World instead of the Commander in Chief. IMHO, he also should have uncorked the military in Iraq and Afghanistan, shut out the press and hammered down on those countries so hard they wouldn’t make a peep for a hundred years. He ignored the attacks, direct and indirect on our troops coming from Iran and refused to pull the trigger on the ultimate sanction of bombing the living bejeepers out of any installation suspected of nuclear significance, even the baby milk factories.

Hell, the world hates and envies us anyway, always will. We might as well justify it and have them fear us while we’re at it.

Do you really consider her that stupid?...that she couldn't think beyond the question and give an appropriate answer other than ..'gee whiz, duh, let's have more women'.....

You're saying they 'set her up'....I'm saying 'she REALLY meant what she said!'

"Perhaps she is not conservative enough, or does not conform to a rigid, narrowly defined model but it is doubtful that any serious person would call her a liberal."

I'm serious, she's a liberal. There. I said it. Pro choice, Ok with gay marriage, wetting herself over the fact that Kagan is a woman (as if that makes a damn differnce in hell to a conservative) and one can't call her a liberal? Laura Bush may have been classy, fresh air, etc. etc. That's fine. But it troubles me about what came from her husband's administration, that, the more we know about Laura, the more we know that a liberal was sleeping with the President for 8 years. When one reflects back on some of preposterously un-conservative positions Bush took, one can certainly wonder whether his wife influence him that way. Think another "wonderful woman" Harriet Myers, obviously not selected for her qualifications but for her reproductive organs. Think "comprehensive immigration reform" aka amnesty for illegals. Think no child left behind, prescription drug plans, kissy face with democraps, etc., etc., etc.

You sound like a clueless stuck on stupid moron.

The Bush stink is there - all foul and nasty — and you maintain it's the fragrance of a rose.

Lots of us were hoodwinked by DUHbya. His soul gradually revealed itself to be liberal and statist..,and now his wifey has revealed herself too....some of us already knew.

We have seen the light..and smelled the smell.

What's taking you so long?

I didn't know that SoCalPol was banned. That really stinks.

A victory for the bad guys. May they not succeed in giving Obama another term. If they do, there will be hell to pay.
