’ve always had a suspicion that the former First Lady was a full-bird liberal. Makes me wonder how influential she was in some of her husgband’s particularly stupid and ill informed budget busting stupidities: No Child Left Behind, Prescription Drugs and all the kissy face stupidity with democRats, looking the other way on Sandy Burglar, Harriet Myers, immigration reform. Hmmmmm.....

That might explain alot.

She has said she is Pro "Choice", for gay "marriage" and now this. Sorry, I don't care if she is "better than" Hillary or The Thing. She has, shall we say, liberal tendencies that I believe lead people down the wrong path.

Perhaps she is not conservative enough, or does not conform to a rigid, narrowly defined model but it is doubtful that any serious person would call her a liberal. . See Revelations 3:16 for an answer to that. Oh, and that "narrowly defined" thing? Check Matthew 7:14.

I'm not going to try to convince you since we obviously disagree. However, I'll think about what you've posted and hope you'll do the same with mine.

You’re the reason a lot of people don’t want to listen to a thing conservatives have to say.

LOL Define conservative. Or, maybe I should ask you for your opinion of what conservative means. What does it appear to mean, how does the word make you feel?

“I have absolute contempt for George W. Bush. Now I’m not too crazy about his wife. In fact, I hope never to see another Bush in public office. They just can’t be trusted.”

I never was too crazy about George W. Bush as a candidate, or a president.

But he was who he was from the beginning - a “compassionate conservative” was his refrain from the 2000 campaign.

They (the Bush clan) can be trusted to be exactly who they are - political moderates and statists - and we do not need (and never needed) what they are in the presidency.

We got Clinton, and we got Obama out of Bush presidencies. I shudder to think what we would get out of another Bush presidency, if one had to think seriously on that hypothetical (and we don’t, thank goodness).

As for Laura - She doesn’t matter now. But at least we now know that she was good at faking being a dignified First Lady. I suppose that was all we could ask for. She was almost as good as Michelle is at faking NOT being an “I hate America” commie.

Like Laura Bush is for partial birth abortion...get serious.

I'd hate to have seen YOU at the witch trials in Salem. Dear Lord, the woman isn't the devil.

Save your anger for those in office now and your energy for saving our Country. What's passed is past. Channel your energy toward electing Conservatives and learning from our past. That...would honor all those poor souls who died at the hands of ____ ...there are no words.

Have contempt for his handling of issues. Save your anger for THIS administration and electing those that share our values. Political moderates are not the devil; they are just not needed in power at such a critical time in history such as this.

George W. Bush is NOT a bad man to his core. He loves this Country and those that serve it---always has, always will. Disagree on issues. Barack HUSSEIN Obama; however, is making it his personal quest to destroy all that is good.

Naw, I’m not angry at GWB - just profoundly disappointed. He squandered his opportunity to be a great president on nation-building and making sure we all knew he thought Islam was “peaceful”.

He could have done great things if he had just pretended to be conservative with a bit more consistency.

Obama, however, is without redeeming virtue. His presidency will be looked at as the “Great Mistake” that it is - assuming we survive it.

Abortion is abortion whether it’s partial or in the womb. So it’s ok just as long as it isn’t a partially delievered baby getting its brains sucked out?

Believe me I have plenty of anger to go around and it’s the j.o.’s that have betrayed all of us. Republicans that felt the need to ‘reach across the aisle’ and it wasn’t just the jerk McCain. While we all thought we were doing our part and voting for the best conservatives, that would uphold the constitution, they were selling us down the drain. I did my part, I’ve been involved from the day 1 (even before) could vote. But let’s give Ms Laura a pass because it’s just a blob of tissue inside the mother.

There is ‘no’ compromise....none. Witch trials? ...dang straight. If Graham, Bennet, and a whole host of others that have sold this great nation down the drain were on trial, you damn right I would burn them at the stake. NO COMPROMISE. Even Jim Robinson set me straight on this fact. NO COMPROMISE.

What in the world ever gave you that idea?? The only thing Obama can be trusted to do is to continue to try to destroy this country.

I’m curious. What did I say that caused you to be sure that I think Obama can be trusted?

Overzealousness regarding Bush .. I’ve just heard it way too often .. and people seem to have absolutely no appreciation of the “good” things he did do. Do I agree with everything .. heck no! But .. right now I’d rather have another 8 years of Bush than one more day of Obama.

Thank you. I appreciate your opinion and will happily honor your request. .

Mrs Bush deferred to her husband on policy issues and he was in all likelihood the most pro-life president to hold that office. He also respected and upheld the sanctity of marriage.

The opinions of Mrs Bush are hers alone not those of her husband. She has been very clear about that from the start of the Bush presidency. It is widely presumed that Vice President Cheney supports gay marriage but no one seriously questions his conservatism or feels that he has betrayed his conservative principles.

Lets keep our perspective and not lose sight of the good she did or the causes she supported. While First Lady she repeatedly put her personal favorability ratings and the prestige of the office of First Lady on the line to speak out against abuses of human rights and in support of women in Burma, Africa and Afghanistan. She was a tireless advocate for literacy and for finding a cure for breast cancer and heart disease.

Again, thank you for standing by you own convictions without forsaking civility.

Amen! Of course Laura is of little consequence. George W. and his daddy are responsible for Barack Obama desecrating the Oval Office with his vile Marxist presence. I don’t want to forget the role John McCain played in helping elect Obama.

McCain sold us out with his pathetic campaign. He worked harder to destroy Sarah Palin than to becoming president. I really hope that Heyworth takes him out in the Arizona Primary. Then the little mutt can retire and move to Mexico.

Sorry between the spending spree, harriet miers, amnesty for illegals, and all the other bs the base had zero reason to support the gop other than fear of obama, which was justified.

Trust me, I believe zero is the devil and did everything I could to get the word out, but most people are not hyper politicos like us and rightfully saw the gop as a brand that was tarnished.

Blaming the media is lame imho as w knew full well from day one what the media was about.

Well, I guess I agree. But Bush did damage this country. I think that his leadership helped set the stage for Obama. I have said many times that Bush is a globalist.

To me that means that he is no good. Is he better than Obama? Maybe.
