What country are we in? 200 students left school and held a march today following the reports yesterday that 4 students dare wear American flag shirts on Cinco de Mayo.

About 200 Hispanic teens are marching in Morgan Hill yelling “We want respect!” and “Si se puede!” in reaction to a controversy ignited when the Live Oak High School principal effectively sent four students home for wearing T-shirts with American flags on them during Cinco de Mayo.
Mexican-American students felt the students were being disrespectful on the only day they celebrate their heritage while students sporting red, white and blue said it violated their First Amendment rights.
Six police cars and a Morgan Hill motorcycle officer have been cruising alongside the large group as it marches.
The group – mostly high school students – walked out of school this morning after the story of four students who were sent home because they wore American flag T-shirts went viral on TV and online. Many wear red, white and green and two large Mexico flags can be seen at the front of the line.
The students say they want people to know they’re proud of their heritage and they believe wearing red, white and blue on Cinco de Mayo is disrespectful.
I know what country we are in, anyone that has an objection to our flag needs to go to another country. The first mistake this school made was to allow a Cinco de Mayo celebration at school. It is not a real holiday in any country- only a small part of Mexico recognizes it. As far as respect- where is the respect for our country from these students? If they do not feel this is their country, and/or are not citizens they need to remove themselves from this country they do not respect or want to be a part of.

It is not an excuse to miss schoo, they have been raised with and surrounded by this false sense of self importance.
They should spend THAT much time on their ‘English’ homework
On the way to work this morning I was listening to KSFO. A woman called in and related the story of how the mob of Latino students attacked her car yesterday in downtown Morgan Hill, because she waved an American flag. There were police all over, but they did nothing. She was forced to run a red light to get away from them. Then a policeman stopped her and said that his watch commander had ordered him to arrest this woman. Ultimately he did not do so, but she was pretty shook up.
Why on earth would you give them diplomas ???
Because most of them will get their meaningless diplomas anyway, and by giving them their worthless diplomas now we save about $12k/year per student. Deporting them helps to reduce the welfare rolls (I realize that all of them may not be illegals or anchor babaies)
Expel them all.
So has their pricipal expelled them for “defiance”? Have they been told to lose the Mexican colors?

I believe there are laws regarding leaving school without supervision. Bring in the vans and haul them to jail. Tell them they can sit in a cell or sit in a classroom.
They were across town having some roach coach breakfast tacos and buying bags of oranges from street vendors.

Yeah... Waving the Mexican flag and protesting the wearing of the American flag will really bring more Americans over to their way of thinking.
Right... Worked really well the last time they did that.
It’s California so...who knows at this point? tax payers of one state, city, or another
Respect is earned, not given or demanded ...
One does not DEMAND respect; one earns it.
