Report: Attack on Jindal Aide and Boyfriend Politically Motivated (Beaten for wearing Palin buttons)

Joe Brown and Allee Bautsch

Allee Bautsch, chief campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown, were savagely beaten Friday night in New Orleans after leaving a Republican party fundraising dinner by a group of thugs who reportedly targeted the couple because they were wearing Sarah Palin pins.

Bautch's leg was broken and Brown incurred a broken jaw and nose as well as a concussion.

The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:

Two people at the Brennan’s event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say “Let’s get them, they have Palin pins on” – so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.

The story of a Republican and her boyfriend being viciously attacked for wearing Palin buttons has yet to make national headlines, unlike say, unfounded rumors of nasty words being said by Tea Party protesters.

Did they ever find that businessman who disappeared there after leaving a bar in the French Quarter last month?

Yes. Using surveillance cameras, they tracked him to the river where he drowned. Since there did not appear to be signs of foul play, it was determined to be accidental.

Wow... he must have been very, very smashed when he left that bar, wonder why no one stopped serving him before he got that bad.

Well, you are right there. A little skepticism doesn’t hurt. I need to go back and read it again, I thought there were witnesses.

I read just fine.

It is your refusal to understand my reasoning, that if folks live in a location BELOW sea level, near a coastline and in an area prone to hurricanes, they have no one but themselves to blame for being flooded. As to levees, all around this country they’re notorious for failing, no matter the location, no matter who built them.

I live near a city along the Columbia River, in southwest Washinton state, that is surrounded by levees. (I live 800 feet up the side of a mountain nearby). No way will I live along the river shore or in areas with levees (this is how we spell it up here). We would be asking for trouble.

No one is to blame for the flood or Hurricane Katrina - that is God’s work. Levees are man’s work, and never should be expected to defy such a force of nature.

(I think New Orleans and Corpus Christi both ought to move to less hazardous locations.)

God gave humans brains for a reason. Too bad we don’t use that gift more often.

West coast = mudslides, tsunamis & earthquakes. Entire Mississippi / Missouri River Valley = floods. Midwest = tornadoes. Gulf coast & east coast = hurricanes. Few places are devoid of risk.

Agreed! BTW did you read a post on FR regarding a man who was jailed and denied bail after allegedly “threatening” Queen Nancy over the phone? One, two, three-case closed!/s I wonder if the NOPD will round up these thugs as quickly? (The American Communist Liberation Union will probably put up the bail/s;)

The description of one of the assailants raises the chances of a targeted political beating by the Left sky high. "Police released a description of one suspect, saying he was in his 20s, looked “dirty,” and wore his hair in an auburn-colored ponytail. The man was 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a thin build, police said. He wore a light-colored T-shirt and dark pants." The Republican Governors attending that fund raiser need to ask their money bag contributors to post a six or seven figure reward with the local Crime Stoppers leading to the arrest and prosecution of the thugs responsible.

This will get them an informer who will turn in the all the responsible parties for the reward money.

You’re looking at a bunch of thugs with no connection to reality.

Sarah Palin presents an easy target and since the only language they understand is derison and violence.

Well you’re not so much venison to be beaten into so much pulp. There is a time to think and understand everything these people are.

They literally believe this is the beginning(Seras)of a long liberal reich. To continue FDR’s legacy using his methods. As the money dries,as people without Character turn on each other for their skin color and whatnot....they will only keep bashing easy targets.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Where in the Constitution is the Federal Government authorized to build levees to keep water out of a below-sea-level city on the coast in hurricane country?
